I will be at WDW from this Thursday till Easter day. What are your tips and suggestion to make things as manageable as possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Early and/or late (especially evening EMH) are your best times, especially for MK. Avoid the middle of the day, which is easy to do if you are staying on Disney property. If not, take in crowd-eating shows like Hall of Presidents, Carousel of Progress, and even Haunted Mansion (which constantly moves) during peak times.
In EPCOT, go backwards. Start in the rear (entering from the back entrance if you can, which you can get to by taking transportation to the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Beach, or Yacht Club Hotels, otherwise just jetting straight to the back when it opens). Stop for a FastPass at Soarin' on your way to the back if you enter from the front. Use the big shows of World Showcase (American Adventure, Impressions de France, O Canada, Mexico ride) as crowd-eaters during the day. Do Future World at night.
Also, take advantage of a sit-down dinner or lunch. First it will be a healthy break, and second it occurs during the busiest times.
Take the monorail or bus or boat and have lunch at a resort. The Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness is very reasonable, and is accessible from the MK and Contemporary by boat. (Do not take a bus there, as it is in the back of the campground, at the lakefront "Settlement Outpost.") Sae is true of the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. Other good options, by monorail, include the Kona Cafe (excellent Kona coffee) at Polynesian. From EPCOT, leave out the back and walk or take the Friendship boat to the Boardwalk or Yacht or Beach Club for lunch or dinner. From DAK, go over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and try some African food at BOMA's. From DHS, take the boat over to the Boardwalk.
Main advice is to take it easy, go early and/or stay late, and lunch or dinner for nice breaks (especially at a nearby resort). Do not concetrate on the big rides in the middle of the day.
Hope this helps.
