Terrariums? Then what are we talking about?
Well, we're not talking about any current Disney ones either. You're the only one holding a torch for this project....Because "proof of my concepts" is not what we're talking about here.
We're talking about past attempts to bring about an expansion of mass transit system at WDW, and the prospects of future attempts. Then what are we talking about?
There are no prospects right now; that's the point. Disney is investing in new busses, new bus stops, new bus routes. We're talking about past attempts to bring about an expansion of mass transit system at WDW, and the prospects of future attempts.
...it's not on his wrist.Yeah - they forgot his Magic Band.
Not true. Let me fix it for you.I get it. This is when everybody gangs up on me with illogical nonsense. This is when I say later gators. Until next time, it's been fun and it's been real but it hasn't been real fun.

Amazing to think that Disney was once able to boast about the reliability of their monorails.Much as I can't stand the busses I'd probably prefer them over a property wide track-based system.
If 1 bus break downs, just that single bus affected. But if 1 trolley breaks down the whole line goes down (like the monorail).
Alas, they do just fine with busses indeed. And yet they seem to be doing just fine connecting them with busses. Whether it's desired or not....
What do you know about Terrariums?Terrariums?
My bet is that whenever they get around to expanding and remaking DHS, it will include a link to Epcot disguised as an attraction, or at least before the bean counters get a hold of it. I could be wrong, if people who aren't as smart as me and those working at Universal aren't calling he shots.
Quite honestly, I could see self driving google cars working better than any other type of rail system. They have the flexibility and reliability of busses, one car going down would not shut down the entire system and you could use the existing roads with no or just minor changes.Alas, they do just fine with busses indeed.
But 'doing just fine' is exactly the bitter accusation many of us level at WDW.
'Doing just fine' is not good enough for Disney. And 'doing just fine with busses' is nowhere near good enough for the world's largest controlled resort, one that started out with the promise of testing and implementing ever new transport systems too.
It's too late for a logical, planned public transport system. Alas. Accepting that for what it is, me, I would implement an automated electrical car system. Twenty thousand electrical cars, guided by GPS, driving in a controlled environment. Private individual transport, driving you directly from A to B, at the command of your voice. Sponsored by energy, car, voice recognition, and gps firms. That's the Spirit of EPCOT, that should permeate everything they do at WDW. Doing just fine with bussing people to their fastpassed M&G with a 4000 calorie Turkey leg is not what any of this was all about.
You're right. They already have much of the infrastructure there do it. It's still a long walk by foot and it's nice to have the boat option. They used to have trams make the trip. They can seal off the tram path from pedestrians and build a new sidewalk that is walled or fenced off from the former tram path. On that path, they could run an electric and automated variation of the tram that would stop at International Gateway, Disney Boardwalk, and DHS. This would probably be the least expensive way to do what I would like them to achieve. They already have foot paths, boats and busses connecting the two parks, they don't really need anything else.

I'm with you on that, but it would have to have its own grade separated pathway, blocked off to pedestrian and motor traffic.Quite honestly, I could see self driving google cars working better than any other type of rail system. Well, this would need to go there. They already have a tunnel so that pedestrians don't have to cross LBV drive. They can widen that tunnel and use it to complete the route.I don't believe the tram ever went to DHS. It just connected the International Gateway with the Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk and Yatch/Beach Club.
