a couple of years ago, we lined up in epcot to have our pic taken in front of the fountain with spaceship earth behind us. there was a couple who apparently didn’t realize there was a line & were posing for a pic themselves.
the photographer called us over for our pic, & 1 member of the couple decided to photobomb us. he stood directly behind us & wouldn’t move.
the CM & some other guests pointed out the line is on the side. if you’d like a pic, they’ll have to line up. he finally walked away & accused us of cutting him off .

I've got a bizarre one for today: An AP female (not a lady) pushing her way to the front of the free cutting board line and then proceeds to whine about how cheap it was and berate the Cast member who was exceedingly nice. When I called her our for her rude behavior I got another I'll mannered response, but she was speechless when I replied that I hoped she'd die soon so she be of value as fertilizer. Oh the stuff CMs have to deal with and smile.

They were standing just feet away from dozens of people walking by the other direction on either side of their row.

The kid had to be 5 or 6 years old. That was a real moment in Tomorrowland.

Are you serious? If you want to ride together then stand in the stand by line otherwise you are trying to cheat the system. It's called the single rider line for a reason. It's not hard to comprehend.

Yeah I get this. If people go on single rider with the plan of asking people, if possible (if they wind up in the same car) to move around so they can be together then that's still kind of a jerk move to everyone who waited on standby to ensure they could ride with someone they know.

Having written that, I'd probably have fun at their expense and refuse to switch. "Last time someone asked me to switch my seat, I woke up naked in a bathtub of ice with one of my kidneys missing. Not again, nuh-uh, fool me once, and all that..."

Again, you are talking about A spot, it does NOT make anything longer at all, the people are already placed in the queue, there is no delay, it is far from cheating, cheating would be sneaking by the person in front of you and not telling them, asking someone to switch spots is in no way cheating

You are absolutely right in that no one is delayed. But a group that takes advantage of the single rider line and then attempts to manipulate the system so that they have the same benefits as if they were riding standby is wrong. I KNOW that if my group stands in the much faster single rider line, I'll have to pay for it by riding apart from my party. I expect everyone else to abide by the same rules. Otherwise it is definitely cheating the system - standing in the shorter single rider line and then attempting to seat the party together. Not cool at all.

Yeah, I kind of feel like going thru single rider and then expecting to sit together is like asking a restaurant for first available seating and then expecting a corner booth away from the entrance. You want to sit together, wait.

(or just bum rush single rider with 150 teens singing and yelling so that the CM's just want to get you out of there as soon as possible)

I've had to be scurried along by my wife before I told someone I hope they get Lou Gehrig's disease. She was right for doing so, but we had some line cutters jump in the handicapped entrance to the resort bus, which wound up being the difference between us getting a ride back and having to wait (roughly 7 hours, my estimate) for the next bus.

So not so much dumb .... more disgusting. We had decided to brave the 120 min wait for FOP having not been able to secure FP’s for any time during our 16 day trip. Now at the standby entrance, they can’t be clearer ..... whole party should enter and wait together and they warn you there are no toilet facilities in the line .... so maybe 30mins in (and still in line outside) a teenage girl starts making her way through the line ‘excuse me, sorry, my party’s just over there’ basically ‘catching up’ with her family .... we let it pass (much to my annoyance!) .... a minute or so later a teenage boy, of the same ethnic origin .. does the same -making me think maybe they’re together .... I tried to block him but he pushed past and like his pal before him snaked through the line and kept doing so as far as I could see .... I never did see them ‘catch up’ with the rest of their party. Fast forward another minute and a 3rd teen appears ... same thing .... I need to get through - I’m now a bit mad .... so I stop her and say, quite pleasantly ‘You are told at the entrance your party should all enter the line and stay together’ she replies ‘I needed the bathroom’ so I say ‘your party should have waited for you then’ she replied ‘I left the line to go’ not impressed I explain that it is very clear, at the entrance there are no facilities in the wait line and how come 3 of them all needed to go ... she looked at me with contempt and told me with such a loud voice so everyone in the park heard ‘ I got my period so I had to go’ ... I was so taken aback by the audacity of the girl (and friends) to not only push thru the line, but to have a story lined up to use should anyone stop them .... I had no choice but to let her through ....

Paris is of course very different as many Europeans see alcoholic drinks in a different way compared to UK/USA. In France and many other parts of Europe it is common to get beer in a McDonalds.

Years ago we had a situation. We were having a M&G with Cinderella and the Prince near the side of the castle on the path that cuts to the Tomorrowland direction. My daughter was four then and dressed as a princess herself for the park visit. She had a wand with a star on top as a prop to go with her princess costume. As we were meeting and getting pictures with Cinderella and the Prince, he kneels down to get closer to my daughter's height to talk with her, compliments her costume, saying she would be welcome to attend future Balls at the castle, so on. My daughter was loving it, and decided to twirl and show off the dress. As she did, her wand prop accidentally nailed him right in his area that all men fear being hit in. It happened so fast before I or my husband could stop her. It looked and sounded painful. Prince goes down and looks to be in bad pain.

Very sad for the Prince, but I hope you sign your daughter up for softball! What a swing!

I have no problem with drinking, but this is why it has no place at a Disney park.

There is nothing wrong with drinking, even at a Disney park. The problem is with people that cannot do it responsibly. However, for every activity in life, there are people that cannot do it responsibly. That does not mean the people that can should be stopped from said activity. If someone is drunk and causing a problem, that person should be removed.

I bet you're real fun at parties.

I agree with you, but the irresponsible people can ruin it for everyone at a Disney park. I'm not concerned about drinking from a moral perspective or because I think most people can't handle it. Most people CAN handle it, but if I'm Disney, I don't want the exposure for the 1% that can't. And it DOES happen. Consistently. I am a Passholder. I see it all the time, particularly at EPCOT. It needs to go. It's not a family environment when that's going on and it's hard to avoid it. If something bad happens and a person is drunk, you'll see alcohol policies changed.

If I'm Disney, I just remove it completely or go with the suggestion I made...Wine or a drink WITH Dinner and tracked through MagicBand. We don't need hard liquor stands at DHS and beer galore in World Showcase. I just don't think it has a place at Disney Parks, among other things I think are fine but not at Disney.

I'd even support the lost revenue as a Shareholder.

Disney is private property and I think it should have as little "real world" problems as possible. Alcohol is a means for stupid people to act even more stupid.

I never said responsible drinkers bother me. They don't. I'm talking about the few people that act like fools and ruin the family experience for everyone in the area. Kids don't need to see or that kind of nonsense and I don't want it either. You don't have to agree with me, but I've had the same opinion for years and I've seen enough at WDW to have my own opinion. You might not have seen them, but just saw them 3 weeks ago when I was there 10 days. I'm at WDW ~25-30 days/year and have probably been ~100 times in my lifetime. For me, it's too drinky.

Removing the guilty parties is easier said than done. It just creates an atmosphere and energy that is not as family as Disney should be, in my opinion. It doesn't even necessarily mean people are doing anything drastic like fighting. It's just a lot of loud, obnoxious behavior, rowdiness, and chest puffers.

A WDW trip is different things to different people. There are families, groups of young adults, groups of older adults, etc. All come to this place with different agendas. It's big enough to accommodate them all, just be respectful of others as you do it.

My #1 all time stupid thing I witnessed was about 12 yrs ago at the GrandFlo beach. There was a small gator sunning itself and a parent was trying to get his kid to stand next to it for a picture. I have never seen cast members move so fast.

Let's not act like anything goes because it's for everyone. I'm not excluding any person from going. I'm saying Disney can enforce whatever rules they wanted and stricter rules on alcohol are some that I would support.
