DTD Suggestions??

Hi all

For our upcoming trip, we are going in a day early in the late afternoon, spending the night at a DTD area hotel and planning to go to DTD for a little bit.
As a note, we haven't been to DTD in a few years and don't even know what there is there anymore!

A few questions:
1) Where do you suggest eating dinner at DTD?
2) What do you suggest doing? Shopping? Characters in Flight?
3) What time will DTD most likely be open until?
or
4) Skip DTD all together and go mini golfing and eat elsewhere?

Thanks!

We loved Raglan Road when we were there, you could check that out.
We were there early in the day, but later on they have Irish music
and dancing. Good food--and Guinness!

If you want music, House of Blues has concerts, and usually a live
performer out front. Food is ribs and Bar-b-Que, yum.

I have also been to Bongo's, and the music is great, but loud.
It's a Latin big band, very raucous and fun. The food was pretty
good as well.

I like browsing the huge Disney Store, kids like the Lego store.

See Cirque du Soleil, if you haven't, that's awesome! Expensive, but awesome.

Those are some of my thoughts, anyway. Enjoy!

I always plan a stop at DTD at my stays in the World. Raglan road and the new (ish) T-Rex restaurant are both good choices. Usually I will go to the marketplace and check out some gift ideas. Giardelli's is a fav for any chocolate lover. Still a nice place to have dinner and take a nice stroll in the evening.

Overall I would say, it's not a must but what the heck its disney....:)

We love Fulton's and Wolfgang Express. Walking through the Gigantic Disney store is also fun, we make an evening of it the first night we are there usually. Playing with toys trying things on and scoping what we want to buy the last day we are there.

We always plan a day or part of a day at DTD.

As others have suggested, Ragland Road is good we liked it. T-Rex was good, better if you have kids, the food was pretty good, but it is loud.

We always like spending time at the World of Disney store.

You could also check out the new design your own t-shirt store. We wanted to but it wasn't open when we went last December.

DTD is definitely worth giving a try! I love Earl of Sandwich, but I realize that it is not a sit down restaurant, so for that I know there are plenty to choose from. I hear they are building a new restaurant called Paradiso 37 that looks really good. Also, DTD is great for shopping. World of Disney is AWESOME, and I cant wait to walk through the new store Tren-D!
Have fun on your trip!!

House of Blues is really good...as is Earl of Sandwich.

I have not been to the other places but heard Raglan Road and Wolfgangs is yummy..:)

Shopping/browsing is fun..they have great stores..the atmosphere at The marketplace is fun..:)

I have also heard that Characters in Flight is really nice.

Do not skip it at all....there are a lot of fun places to eat and shop at..:)

A Few Answers:
1) Raglan Road/Cookes of Dublin or Portobellos
2) go ahead be adventuress and try CiF, as for shopping they just opened Trend D. Also the World of Disney, Art of Disney, and Days of Christmas are a must see every trip.
3) I would check a times guide to be sure but usually it goes like this
Market Place: 9:30am - 11:00pm
PI: 10:30am - 2:00am
West Side: 10:30 am - 2:00am
4) Don't skip it! DTD always turns out to be a nice relaxing day, especially on rainy days or when you just arrived and need a quick bite. Go mini golfing at night so that your not baking in the sun.

I always get a Wetzledog at Wetzle's Pretzles..They are sooo good. Also taking the time at WoD store and going to Mickey's mart (Which is located by Pooh corner store) and they have merch that's low as $10...

Hello my friend!

I would definitely recommend Raglan Road for dining! :slurp::slurp::slurp:
and i'm a hug shopping for souvenirs girl! ha ha! But I think Characters in Flight looks cool! I think the shops are open until 9 or 10 and the restaurants until 11 but I am not 100% on that.
I always like hitting DTD - and this trip we are doing it on the same day as we go play Mini Golf - so we are doing both on that day! :sohappy:

Are you having so much fun planning!! :sohappy:
