They are referring to the Nintendo DS, a handheld video game system that they have been testing interactive guidemap software on at The Magic Kingdom.

((HUGS))Usually, it is an abbreviation that people use to refer to their son's when they are too lazy to type out "my son". Instead, they just refer to him as "DS". Or "DD" for daugher, DW for wife, etc. The other "D" refers to either "Dear" or "Disney".
Personally, it is a pet peeve of mine, but that's just me. By typing out "DS" instead of "my son", you're saving a whopping 3 characters...4 if you count the space. Especially annoying is when they include the child's age...as in DD14 to refer to a 14 year old daughter, or DS5, to refer to a 5 year old son. It makes it look like you're talking about a droid from Star Wars or something.

*Feeds you pringles and ((hugs)) you**blasts Dana with my light saber*
I put ages with DS if I want to differentiate 1 from the other or if I'm referring to something that would make more sense if you understood the age of kid I'm referring to.
The only way I would know what the heck the other DS is is because both my boys have them and refer to them as their "DS".
I will admit, I still can't quite figure out what the abbreviation MILF is used for on a Disney board. What comes to mind is very un-Disney-like ((think of the movie 'American Pie')). Whenever I see it I have to stop myself from laughing. It's not in the list of abbreviations. I dunno. But it's funny to me...

And another thought: why do we refer to them as 'dear' hubby or sons or whatever. They aren't always so dear, ya know? I'd like to see BHH for butt-head hubby or something. LOL!
MILF is Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. I thought the same as you at first though.I put ages with DS if I want to differentiate 1 from the other or if I'm referring to something that would make more sense if you understood the age of kid I'm referring to.
