Yeah, but neither did JII or Body Wars after they had been around for a while. That's why I don't understand the purist/nostalgic anti-change attitude that some people have. Well, I understand it, but for me, it's the worse attitude that Disney can have. While I may wish an attraction wouldn't go away, I also don't want the parks to stagnate and slowly erode away.

Leaving things unchanged is the worst thing that Disney could do in their parks. No matter how many die-hard purist Disneyphiles are around, there are not enough to keep the parks making money when everyone else is looking for a better experience.

Leaving things unchanged would be a killer... And I don't look at JIYI as an e-ticket type attraction.. And I bet Imagineering doesn't either. HISTA is more e-ticket to them.. And that needs an update as well... Body Wars didn't do it for me, but I went on it anyway.... I am hoping for something new and terrifiic in that spot... And that is another reason I doubt we will see any noticable changes ot JIYI, WoL and UoE need the love more....

No doubt about it! WoL and UoE need some help, hopefully WoL first. At least UoE can still bring in some crowds and entertain guests, but it just takes to much time from start to finish. Even if they just update the show and maybe drop Ellen, it would have a little more staying time. But in the long run, I'm afraid it will take some drastic change to keep the big crowds flowing in.

I would love to see him back in any form. My kids only know who he is from watching the old ride video I bought on ebay:) I reeaallly miss that ride!!
(I think that it is a dreamcatcher.)

I always liked Dreamfinder. Maybe JL will realize what the Dreamfinder really means and possible in the next version of the ride they can actually have some real imagination in it. There is so much technology out there something good has to come of it.

If this is true, it would make my wife one of the happiest people around. She LOVED the ride in its origional state, and does not like it near as much now. Thanks for the glimmer of hope.

Again, it would seem to me that whatever decision may or may not be made concerning the return of Dreamfinder, clearly a decision should be made to better utilize all available space in the pavillion. To me, there is something inherently wrong with having a pavillion building of two stories that is not utilizing all of its available space.

But remember, you think logically, and a large amount of the time, Disney doesn't think logically in the sense that they use available attraction space for private or corperate uses like lounges.

Why is that not logical? Or did you mean logistical?

It is logical to have available space for large groups and conventions. Conventions are a big source of income for Disney.

True, but conventions happen every so often, while park guests come every day.

As others have pointed out conventions are not every so often. They are a daily occurance. They do about a dozen conventions a day. Not to mention about 2300 weddings each year.

Disney-MGM Studios is fixing to suffer from this, Epcot is recovering nicely. Magic Kingdom somehow remains to stay fresh, and Animal Kingdom is still growing.

I don't think so. I like 30's 40's MGM and hope the rides don't change, though i wouldn't mind additions.

Hollywood and Sunset are not the problem. The problem at MGM is that in the past 6 years they have not added anything to the park except for LMAX. It is already obvious that MGM is going to suffer. MGM was just slightly above AK in attendance last year and with Everest, AK is most likely going to blow MGM out of the water this year. MGM is still a good park but it is essential that they invest some money into the park.

Yeah..i agree. MGM is a bit bland these days, but then again i've never been a huge fan. I could never shake the idea that MGM was created simply because the Disney Company felt a need to compete with Universal. I remember when the place first opened...MGM only had half of it's attractions ready to go....it just left you with the impression that they opened too early just so they could beat Universal's opening date.

I love Epoct..it's always been my fave park. I was there last week and the place was looking good...much better then when i visited last year. It's nice to finally see some TLC happening, and the updating of some of the pavillions.

As far as JII goes...well, i can understand both sides of the issue. I'm a huge fan of the original, and in my mind it's the ONLY version. While the current one is okay..it just can't hold a candle to the original. I can fully understand why the original was changed though....i mean, keeping it running and the maintennance issues must have been incredibly difficult. I can easliy see why it was gutted and a whole new attraction was put in it's place. As much as i like the old version, the new one is okay. At least we still have Figment around after all these years....and that's something i'm grateful for. It's nice at least to see Dreamfinder coming back a little bit on some of the recent merchandise targeted for the die hard collectors ( big pins, etc.). Sure, i'm with everyone here who would love to see him back in some form...but i can understand why he was phased out.

My only 2 questions if they do this would it still be the same premise and tweak it a little or....the use of his voice and then seeing him at the end of the attraction?

I can't either...so that's why they would have to re-do it. A few things would have to obviously change, such as the video screen segments with Nigel Channing and a few other things. Personally i think the attraction would ork better if they took the Institute concept out of the picture and moved away from the "5 senses" type themes. I sometimes get the feeling while on the ride that i'm at the doctor's office or something!

I think if these themes were changed, and the fun creative play elements were played up ( literally) Dreamfinder would be a natural fit again.
