It's crazy how quickly you were able to make something of such good quality! I love it. It takes me an hour just to draw a smiley face lol.

What I'd love to do when all is said and done is put the map and Google Docs final draft all together in one massive post. That'd be truly epic.
Glad you enjoyed it - can't wait to see Gracey Square!

That compiled post will be epic indeed :D

Fun fact, I could not get through that book when I tried reading it. I may be finished about ten pages. I hope this isn't the case with this project and no one is actually reading it. :p

@spacemt354, here's Gracey Square. I'm going to try and get the Central Plaza up today as well. I can't wait to see what you're able to draw up. I'm still blown away by the map's quality, I can't thank you enough.

Hollywood Boulevard, Part Four

“Welcome, foolish mortals... ”

5iUYs-rVvQnh6ukU8BVuqShWFOs2cP4bYIpHiFTWMlX_k_vAS6hbomQyXS5jhrkZg8X1FWi_axmixtlmBVNmtY1f1i6xjAq_JORS566rSJmsDCFnxFVmiy_ITvpTW_wOsoVcKeVV

Gracey was dead, to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the clergyman, the clerk, the undertaker, and the chief mourner. The remainder of the Gracey Family had since perished long before any of them could sign in recognition of Master Roland’s burial. Hundreds wept as the fallen silent film star’s hearse arrived at the gates of the Memento Mori Graveyard. As the legend goes, each year on the anniversary of his death, a single rose is placed on Roland’s grave by an unknown woman in black. Roland Gracey was dead as a doornail.

The third and final sub-land of Hollywood Boulevard trails from the eastern stretch of Sunset Boulevard and into a dead-end. The ding of the Red Car and the trumpets of big band have since faded into an ominous wind, broken only by the seldom howl of an unseen wolf. Amid the glitz and the glitter of a bustling young movie town at the height of its Golden Age, we find ourselves meandering from the sparkling thoroughfare of Hollywood Boulevard and into the forgotten acreage of Gracey Square.

In honor of Master Roland Gracey, former silent film star and hotel magnate, this ancient cul de sac has been cursed with the Gracey name, frozen in time. The abandoned Gracey Tower Hotel looms over the cracked cobblestone, whilst the still-in-use Requiem Aeternam Cathedral (“Eternal Rest”) acts as doorman to the rotting confines of the Memento Mori Graveyard. The lonesome Gracey Manor overlooks the cul de sac, still kept fresh in its corruptible “mortal” state.

YXko2RJIugKhnVFoXXC3qYfq1qsETI8-VJypO9n2Eunlr_qNeJ58ZGosDqSytmzDiHBg9LNmk7Q4lt8hVkiUAMmVURI4OZesUHYYLZj7JrNAdHwQ49K8VoLkqhPKq6DVyuB7dL-8

A peculiar chill fills the air as we meander past a collection of decrepit shops and apartments, most boarded shut or left in a state of despair. Piles of bricks and briar-like weeds litter the streets. The once-lavish cul de sac has since fallen into a state of neglect. The fresh asphalt of Hollywood Boulevard gradually transforms into cracked cobblestone, illuminated only by a flickering streetlight or two, the others having since burned-out. A cat screeches somewhere in the quiet abyss. The wolf howls once more. A haunting organ refrain bellows from within the old Requiem Aeternam Cathedral. With a sense of morbid curiosity, we enter....

nmtG1wHkj28e4MIsPF83PJiTffXYD-zjHD0D1Exsbr4gB5tJGqjXBgoAlgEqFMduVK5BMdUVL1DFtzBrC9x3R_fKUUcAt6ocZmCFnI5kTAO0akqSidxQwtVb9mAfsIaUYnRGTY27

Curiously, the old cathedral is rather well-kempt, still in operation. A first in a Disney Park, this re-creation of a small Gothic cathedral hosts concerts performed by traveling choral groups, local or international. The perfect acoustics act as a complement to the Latin texts and hymns sung on a semi-regular basis, echoing throughout the confines of Gracey Square. Gothic statues, storied stained glass, and an authentic organ create a true departure from the outside world, unlike anything else in our Magic Kingdom. In the cathedral’s narthex, large paintings, portrayed in the Renaissance style, depict the tragic past of Gracey Square… A narrow corridor leads to the Memento Mori Graveyard just beyond the cathedral walls.

In all the legend and lore of “Haunted Hollywood,” there was one old house, scarcely noticed by day, but carefully avoided by night. It appears well-kempt, seemingly abandoned, and thoroughly rumored to be a Haunted Mansion.

Gracey’s Square’s Haunted Mansion is just as foreboding. A peculiar chill shivers through you… The hairs on your neck stand straight-up… And you feel as though someone is watching, as you hasten past ominous statues… The Haunted Mansion is home to 999 happy haunts, including a foreboding Ghost Hostess who will guide us through this boundless realm of the supernatural. Our macabre Doom Buggy will take us on our tour of the happy haunting grounds, twisting through a labyrinth of dark chambers and grounds where there’s always room for one more...

(Concept art done by the AMAZING @Basketbuddy101)

Our Magic Kingdom’s take on the Haunted Mansion is the scariest version of the classic attraction yet, with all the humor and fun of the original mixed with the horror and scares of the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. With original content, such as new scenes, ghosts and effects, the Haunted Mansion is an unforgettable tour through the boundless realm of mist and decay, climaxing in a tour of the Memento Mori Graveyard. In this ancient burial plot, we pay our final respects to the fallen icons of Tinseltown, as well as former pets and residents of the Haunted Mansion. If the humorous epitaphs and bizarre crypts prove anything, it’s that no one in Hollywood has taken death all too seriously…

Classic stars of the silver screen once sought refuge at the Gracey Tower Hotel during the height of the silent film era. Tragically, the horrific events of October 1, 1927 brought an end to the hotel’s operation, leaving the property abandoned since. Built quite unlike any Tower of Terror before it, Gracey Square’s Tower of Terror looms opposite the Haunted Mansion, half-sunken into the surrounding earth. Abandoned vehicles line the broken pavement, telephone wires appearing bent and misshapen. Few lights flicker from within the old hotel, the neon “Gracey Tower Hotel” still lit - albeit dimly - on a nightly basis.

Past the iron-wrought gates and through a neglected, weed-infested garden is the entrance to the forlorn estate, its lobby now filled with dust and cobwebs. An old phonograph provides an eerie soundtrack as we learn the tale of Roland Gracey and his ill-fated bride, Emily Hutch. From aboard a rickety, maintenance-service elevator, we relive the night in which Gracey perished, hanging himself from the very elevator shaft in which we explore. A chance encounter with Gracey’s phantom sends us hurling down the abandoned shaft in total darkness, only to be launched upward once more. As if possessed by Gracey himself, we continue to plummet up and down at an unnatural speed, the sound of cables snapping and metal clanging overhead.

Hotel Gifts resides in the very walls of the Gracey Tower Hotel, aptly found at the exit of our unforgettable elevator ride. Here, all manner of items pertaining to the Gothic and occult are available, nestled quietly among cobweb and rat-infested shelves. Merchandise of the Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Disney Villains and Nightmare Before Christmas are also for sale, making this gift shop perhaps the most macabre in all the Magic Kingdom.

Presented here, for your own gloom and despair, is a look into the troubled past of the Gracey Family, as written by Dr. Ken Anderson, noted journalist and activist for the Hollywood Historical Society. This shocking narrative can still be read today, found in an article at the world-famous Adventurer’s Club of Paradise Springs, but more on that later…

Prior to the events of our story, Gracey Manor, or simply the “Mansion” was built in 1885, an entire century past the founding of Los Angeles. Ward Edwards, a wealthy railroad tycoon placed the site of his future home in a dark corner of the then-farming community of Hollywood, California. Despite rumors of the site being on an ancient Indian burial ground, construction commenced, famously plagued with freak accidents and strange happenings, including the accidental death of a construction worker. Wishing to avoid involvement from the authorities, Ward quietly buried the deceased in the home’s infrastructure, paying off the others to stay quiet. Soon after, all of Ward’s architects had either fled the site or perished unwittingly, giving the greedy baron no other choice but to finish the house himself, sealing the deceased within the house.

Haunted by the memory of burying his own workers, Ward built false doors and endless hallways throughout his sprawling manor, wishing to lead the wayward spirits astray. Staircases led to nowhere - doors opened into walls - trapdoors dropped into chutes - secret panels led into dark, impenetrable chambers.

By 1888, the house was complete, but strangely, no one had seen or heard from Edwards in years. Presumably the guilt of burying construction workers in the infrastructure had caused old Ward to go mad. Rumor has it that Ward sealed himself within a crypt, still alive. In the years following, the abandoned mansion became a hideout for organized crime and runaway convicts. As Hollywood grew, the Requiem Aeternam Cathedral was built a short distance from the mansion, shortly followed by the Memento Mori Graveyard. Still, no one knows for sure what happened to old Ward…

Our story begins - as most often do - once upon a time, in a faraway land. Roland Gracey was born to Elizabeth and Vlad Gracey on Halloween night, 1898. The Gracey Family was despised in their native village in Romania. Not only was the family poor and notoriously filthy, it was rumored that Elizabeth had once had a romantic affair with a vampire, namely Count Dracula. Of course, these rumors were pure fantasy…

Roland discovered at a young age the ability to charm and mesmerize women with his perfect good-looks. But looks aside, Roland’s childhood was unpleasant; he was tirelessly mocked for his heritage, Vlad having no choice but to provide his son with a private education. Eventually, Roland halted his studies to help his family make ends meet, often taking odd jobs for organized crime and outlaws. With what little money he managed to save for himself, Roland would venture to the nearest major city to watch the latest film, and by 1918, his heart was set on moving to America to become a movie star.

Vlad passed away in 1919, just shy of Roland’s twenty-first birthday. Roland and Elizabeth used what little inheritance they attained to gain safe passage to California. Still having no money, Roland took on what work he could to find to support Elizabeth, sweeping floors, shining shoes, and waiting tables. Although he could place any woman into a trance, no male studio head was as mesmerized by Roland’s dashing demeanor. To them, he was a mere immigrant with no talent other than a handsome face. Roland was crushed. Defeated after his hundredth audition, he wandered the dark streets of Hollywood, stumbling upon an old gypsy’s cart with a dime to his name…

images

Madame Leota, being forty-years of age at the time, never married. To those who knew her best, she was a false psychic, known only to make predictions based on particles of clothing and general sarcasm. Her only true talent was communication with the dead. Leota’s cart claimed to have “Over 999 Served,” whatever that meant. Being superstitious himself, Roland sought Leota’s power, promising her whatever she wished in return for a life on the silver screen. Entranced by the handsome, young foreigner, Leota wished to wed Roland as her reward. Roland, although reluctant, agreed. The two shook in blood, and mysteriously, a seemingly possessed studio head found Roland the next morning, offering him a starring role in his next picture. Seemingly overnight, Roland Gracey became the biggest star in Hollywood.

For years, Roland Gracey was the hottest star in Hollywood; his face on every billboard, his name on every marquee. With enough funds to last a lifetime, Roland and Elizabeth purchased the decrepit property of the long-dead Ward Edwards, wishing to reinvent and restore the newly dubbed “Gracey Manor” into their personal Xanadu. The resorted mansion was to hold a collection of everything: imported artwork of the Renaissance, medieval armor, Roman statues, Egyptian artifacts, living beasts of the jungle, savannah and sea - lions and tigers and bears. Lush fountains and vibrant gardens spanned the private pleasure ground. The then-largest swimming pool in the world held the most enticing parties in Tinseltown. Of all the statues imported to the mansion, a pair of winged-lions with ram-horns were the family’s favorite, placed atop the mansion’s entryway where they stand guard to this day.

Roland, now calling himself “Master Gracey” held the most elaborate parties in all the world, at least one per weekend. A new screening room installed by Gracey held more than a few movie premieres, always ending in a night of sin and debauchery. The aging Leota, still awaiting the hand of Gracey, would attend each party to fulfill Gracey’s side of the bargain, only to be shooed off by the servants. Enraged, she vowed revenge…

In the autumn of 1924, Elizabeth was found dead, having “passed in her sleep.” While her cause of death was “natural,” her private nursemaid swore to have heard screams coming from within her chambers. Elizabeth’s shriveled finger was seen pointing toward an open window, as if someone had broken in. The police denied Gracey’s wish to investigate further. Roland resolved into a state of depression at the loss of his mother, turning to the bottle for comfort. In this period, he developed a bizarre fascination with the occult, collecting sinister art and decor, from an Egyptian mummy to a pet rat descended from the rat responsible for the Black Plague. In a matter of months, Gracey Manor had become a “museum of the weird” as the tabloids called it. Though the parties had since ended, Gracey began the construction of a massive hotel - the finest in Hollywood - to rival even that of the Hollywood Tower Hotel down the street. The “Gracey Tower Hotel” would be the hotel to end all hotels. Best of all, it would anchor an entire street built in the Master’s name: Gracey Square.

By the late 1920s, Prohibition had taken the United States by storm. Still slung in a state of depression, Gracey crafted a private speakeasy in the basement of his under-construction hotel. Nightly, Gracey would listen to live jazz musicians in solitude, drinking himself into a bumbling stupor. For means of pleasure, Gracey would disguise himself as an elderly gentlemen, drunk of course, to patrol the streets and randomly attack innocent bystanders, earning this “unknown figure” the name of “Mr. Hyde” in the tabloids. He was never caught.

In 1927, the Gracey Tower Hotel welcomed its first guests and with it, Gracey’s depression had ended, though not entirely. At the gala opening night, Gracey was introduced to Emily Hutch, an up and coming actress from Ohio. Young, beautiful and kind, it was love at first sight. Gracey began to live again. He stopped drinking. Mr. Hyde vanished. Parties filled the halls of Gracey Manor once more. The gardens began to bloom in vibrant colors. A wedding was set for October 1, 1927, just a few days before the release of the world’s first “sound” motion picture. The Hollywood elite were all invited. Madame Leota, however, was not.

While the wedding was to take place on the thirteenth floor of the Gracey Tower Hotel, Leota snuck into Gracey Manor, seeking means of destruction… It was then she sensed the restless souls trapped within the Mansion’s walls. In a room meant for tea and crumpets, Leota crafted a makeshift seance, summoning the spirits to materialize and do her bidding.

The wedding took off without a hitch. The greatest stars and studio heads were in attendance. Gracey’s distant cousins from Norway appeared in full Viking attire, providing an operatic take on “The Wedding March.” An internationally-acclaimed organist was hired, the reception was to be held at Gracey Manor, and Elizabeth’s roses were in bloom. Even the animals of Gracey’s private zoo were in attendance. Every wedding guest was assured to return home with a lifetime of “happy memories.”

Oddly enough, Emily did not appear at the ceremony. At first, it was believed to be a prank. But when hours passed, suspicions began to arise. Gracey wept. Countless wedding guests and servants returned to neighboring Gracey Manor in search of the missing bride, but to no avail. Little did they know that poor Emily had been locked within a trunk in the Mansion’s clock tower by the summoned spirits, Leota’s handiwork. Alone on the thirteenth floor of his hotel, Gracey was startled by the arrival of Madame Leota, dressed in a wedding gown. Leota revealed the entire truth, from the murder of his mother, to the subsequent murder of Emily. Enraged, Gracey snapped into a violent fit. Leota tried justifying her unrequited love for Gracey, but it was hopeless. In a matter of seconds, Gracey held a wedding day massacre that would forever live on in Hollywood infamy. While the exact events of October 1, 1927 remain shrouded in mystery, not a single guest or servant in attendance survived. Leota perished. Her body was never found - but her head was… Placed in a crystal ball…

The police did not investigate the countless disappearances reported from the wedding. In fact, no one really questioned the sudden absence of notable Hollywood figures. Seemingly overnight, new icons replaced the old, quietly allowing the public to move on and forget. Gracey was never caught. “Mr. Hyde” had prevailed.

bridemini_by_hentaib2319-d8y4njp.png

Only two guests survived: Horace Collarbone and his puppy, Bones, the then-young groundskeeper of Gracey Manor. Having witnessed the entirety of the massacre, Horace’s hair became a shade of white. The frightened Bones stopped eating, growing scrawny and withered. Emily perished within the trunk. Her body was never found, but her heartbeat lives on…

Following the premiere of “The Jazz Singer,” “talkie” pictures became the next big thing. Gracey’s thick accent would prohibit any further success. Tinseltown quickly forgot their former heartthrob. Driven with guilt and defeat, Gracey hung himself from the elevator shaft of his hotel. His suicide note read: “I am useless, forgotten, and ridden with guilt. There is no other way for me but this. I should never have left Romania in the first place, but alas, we all make mistakes. The only way out is this… My way.”

Horace reluctantly accepted ownership of Gracey Manor, as desired in Gracey’s will. Horace and Bones tirelessly work to this day, ensuring the grounds and exterior are kept in perfect condition. The Gracey Tower Hotel, meanwhile, was left to rot, where it stands to this day.

Gracey was buried in the Memento Mori Graveyard. The few hundred fans who attended the funeral wept for ages. One fan has continued to visit Gracey’s grave every year on the anniversary of his death, bringing with her a single rose. The “lady in black” is claimed to be the wayward ghost of Elizabeth or Emily, though some believe it to be Madame Leota, forever taunting her would-be groom.

In 1947, a paranormal investigation team received permission from Horace to explore the inside of Gracey Manor. A twenty-four investigation concluded in outrageous, near-nonsensical claims - talking marble busts, waltzing ghosts, breathing doors - the team uncovered everything about the tragic past of Gracey Square, from the greed of Ward Edwards to the murderous rage of Roland Gracey. Even more ridiculous, the team claimed that the Mansion had taken on a mind of its own, opening its doors to ghosts from all over the world, inviting them to retire amid the country club-like atmosphere. Famous ghosts, infamous ghosts, ghosts trying to make a name for themselves - all were welcome. Gracey Manor had literally become a Haunted Mansion.

Now, in 1948, the Haunted Mansion and newly-dubbed “Tower of Terror” have become quite the tourist attraction. Both receive more visitors and attention than ever, serving once more as beacons for Hollywood. Only, instead of being beacons for the show business elite, they’re beacons for the undead wanderers of Planet Earth.

“Oh, oh, oh!
Let’s go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let’s go fly a kite and send it soaring…”

Like Walt’s Disneyland before it, Hollywood Boulevard leads past Spamalot and Adventures in Cinema and into the Hub of our Magic Kingdom: The Central Plaza. Shooting out from here like the cardinal points of a compass, the Magic Kingdom is divided into five magical realms: Adventureland, Westernland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Discoveryland. Lush fountains, a calm river, colorful gardens, spacious lawns, and shaped topiaries provide a quaint atmosphere amid the hustle of a “Disney Day.” A generous supply of benches, picnic tables and other such decor allow rest beneath the shade of vibrant trees caught in a perpetual bloom. Past the veering Red Car and toward the heart of the Magic Kingdom, our adventure continues…

Timeless River surrounds the Plaza in its entirety, traversed only by the elegant Swan Boats. The graceful, hand-carved vessels take passengers past the entrance to each “Land” and even out of the park and into the main resort via an underground tunnel beneath Hollywood Boulevard. Each “swan” finds its pilot in an informed skipper, educated with knowledge in regard to the resort’s past, present and future. The Hollywood Boulevard Vehicles make their final stop in the Central Plaza, right near the iconic Castle.

Unique to our Land of Dreams, the ten acre Central Plaza is more of a Central “Island” with the inclusion of Timeless River. The Plaza is kept separate from each land by a unique bridge, each designed and themed to their land of origin. For example, the bridge from Hollywood Boulevard resembles the Colorado Street Bridge of Pasadena, CA, ending with a pair of ornamental elephants reminiscent of D.W. Griffith’s Intolerance, while the Fantasyland bridge is built entirely from medieval stone and mortar, with snarling gargoyles keeping watch.

In tribute to the now-defunct Carnation Plaza of Disneyland, the Plaza Biergarten hides amidst a grove of towering trees, lit only by a string of hanging lanterns. From the stage of a colorful bandstand, the region’s most popular Swing and Big Band groups perform by night, setting the stage for a swing dance after dark. German in inspiration, the dine-in menu entails bratwurst, apple strudel, schnitzel, and a variety of unique Bavarian dishes. Each Saturday, Polka groups perform to further compliment the Bavarian selection. A seasonal Oktoberfest is also held at the Plaza Biergarten, albeit a bit more family-friendly than an authentic German Oktoberfest.

Partners,” a bronze statue of Walt and Mickey, hand-in-hand, looks down Hollywood Boulevard from the center of the Plaza. The inspired statue captures the likeness of a “Man and his Mouse,” the perfect spot for a mid-day reunion or marriage proposal. A plaque at the base of the sculpture reads:

“I think what I want Disneyland to be most of all is a happy place - a place where adults and children can experience together some of the wonders of life, of adventure, and feel better because of it.” - Walt Disney

Partners is almost a “Hub” all its own, surrounded by enough real estate to warrant its own labyrinth of gardens and grounds. Fantasy Gardens, the “Heart of the Hub” whisks us from the cinematic mythos of Hollywood Boulevard and into the childhood enchantment of Fantasyland. Throughout, various tributes recall the reels of Walt’s animated classics.

A downhill path leads toward Snow White’s Grotto, the highlight of a stroll through Fantasy Gardens. The white, marble figurines of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs replicate an anonymous gift given to Walt Disney in 1961. From within a handsome wishing well, one might hear the faint voice of Snow White's “wishing for the one I love.” Over 100 species of shrubs and trees fill the fantastical gardens, where other such vignettes depict a “Jolly Holiday” with Mary Poppins, a celebration among the Three Little Pigs, Alice falling down the Rabbit Hole, and a True-Life Adventure on the African Savanna.

By day, we line up at the curb and catch the fantastic Storytellers on Parade. In a vibrant cavalcade of familiar friends and impressive floats, our favorite childhood stories and films are brought to life. As the story goes, Aladdin’s Genie has organized a magical procession of the world’s finest fairy tales, from Anna and Elsa of Arendelle to Prince Ali (fabulous he) Ali Ababwa. Giant storybooks and fanciful floats compose the symphonic performance in an unforgettable parade that could only be crafted by the venerable Genie.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,” the Voice of the Magic Kingdom echoes. “In just a few minutes, the lights will be dimmed so you may fully experience a cherished and beloved pageant beyond the boundaries of imagination: Disney’s Electrical Parade. This sparkling fantasy recreates scenes from many of Walt Disney’s most memorable film classics in over half a million colorful, twinkling lights. We hope you’ll enjoy the unusual, electrifying magic and exciting fantasy of Disney’s Electrical Parade.”

By night, we line up at the curb again and catch the iconic illumination of Disney’s Electrical Parade. In this all-electric “retelling” of the classic Main Street Electrical Parade, over a half a million twinkling lights enthrall our senses in a “Baroque Hoedown” of magic and imagination, where familiar friends and vivid dreams unfold our evening’s entertainment.

In departure from the layout of our typical “castle-park,” the Parade Route does not travel directly down the main thoroughfare. Instead, the “u-shaped” route has all parades begin in Fantasyland before traveling around the Plaza’s northern route and exiting through the opposite end of Fantasyland.

“Turn on your light!
Come on, and live the magic…”

Live the Magic celebrates the nostalgia and magic of a child’s imagination in an unforgettable street-to-sky spectacular. The heart, humor and heroism of many a timeless tale are captured amid state-of-the-art projections, brilliant lasers and awe-inspiring pyrotechnics. This fantastic celebration is the ultimate “happily ever after” to a day at the Magic Kingdom, showcased through moments from such tales as The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, The Princess and the Frog, Toy Story, and The Jungle Book.

At the eastern end of the Plaza, just behind Adventures in Cinema near Tomorrowland, the elegant Plaza Inn captures the elegance and romance of the Victorian Midwest, a la Main Street, U.S.A. Within the fanciful estate, silk draperies, ornate carpets, crystal chandeliers, brass fixtures, and velvet furnishings compose a lavish sight for the senses. Live musicians often accompany a luxuriant dinner by candlelight, often intertwined with a hint of romance.

The Five & Dime of Hollywood Boulevard often perform throughout the Hub, or on occasion, the Hollywoodland Philharmonic. Musicians from beyond the Magic Kingdom (i.e. local high schools, volunteer organizations) also perform in the Plaza, most often at the Pavilion Stage. The Crystal Pavilion, similar to the Crystal Palace of Walt Disney World, is an elegant establishment; five-star decor and meals fill a restaurant that appears to be built entirely of glass. An indoor garden of palms, volcanic rock, faux wildlife and miniature waterfalls act as a centerpiece to this living photograph of Victorian Exotica, aptly found near the entrance to Adventureland. Naturally, the Crystal Pavilion hosts the aforementioned Pavilion Stage.

Our stage is set before Castle Disney, a focus for the wonder that is Disney’s Land of Dreams… Castle Disney is a fairy tale made real; a symbol of peace, friendship and the power of the imagination.

“When You Wish Upon a Star,” as sung by Jiminy Cricket, fills the air as we cross over the moat and through the towering portico into Fantasyland. On either side of the dramatic entrance, thundering waterfalls churn into Timeless River; twisted turrets and magnificent stained glass reflect upon the surrounding landscape; green hills and muddy shores form a picturesque landscape; beyond the palace walls, the stories of enchantment unfold before our very eyes.

Inside, the timeless tales of fantasy and pretend are retold through over 10,000 individual tiles, their colors flecked with real gold. The scenes speak of romance, magic and beautiful dreams all come true, and it all makes a fitting portal into the dreams found in Fantasyland.

To clear up any confusion as to my Magic Kingdom's layout... Hollywood Boulevard/Toontown/Gracey Square are immediately south of the Central Plaza. Tomorrowland resides to the immediate southeast. Discoveryland resides to the immediate northeast. The various sub-lands of Tomorrowland and Discoveryland converge in the eastern half of the park. Adventureland is found to the immediate northwest, while Westerland resides to the immediate southwest, a la Disneyland Paris. As evident in the map drawn by @spacemt354, Toontown will connect with Westernland in a bizarre transition marked by a Pecos Bill attraction. Gracey Square on the other hand is a dead-end, only accessible via Sunset Boulevard. Tomorrowland is naturally on the other side of Gracey Square, however, albeit unaccessible.

Great job as always!

I'm going to make a slight change to the top of Hollywood Blvd and just have the Monty Python show and Adventures in Cinema on opposite sides of the blvd -- then have the blvd go into the larger Central Plaza!

The cardinal directions at the end here help a lot!

Part of me was going to be like...

Will have this up tonight!

Obviously I'll cover this in more detail later, but if it helps you with the map at all, here are rough descriptions of each bridge leading into a land. Can't wait to see the expanded map tonight!

1. Hollywood Boulevard: Resembles the Colorado Street Bridge of Pasadena with the addition of two ornamental elephants at the end, a la DCA 1.0.
2. Tomorrowland: Grey-tiled bridge similar to the original entrance of Florida's Tomorrowland; twin waterfalls on sloping concrete walls with large spires. Tokyo has a similar entrance still.
3. Discoveryland: A converted-shipwreck (built from the hull of a crashed UFO) scattered among a series of jagged, asteroid-like rocks. Countless clocks and machinery whir and spin from the shoreline.
4. Fantasyland: A mighty stone bridge leading into Castle Disney, almost a mirror of the entrance to the Beast's Castle in the animated film, complete with gargoyles and lampposts. Castle Disney itself is the tallest Disney Castle in the world, but a bit smaller than Shanghai's Enchanted Storybook Castle in width and content.
5. Adventureland: The typical African and Polynesian-inspired bridge, almost an exact replica of Disneyland's Adventureland entrance. A small fishing boat and dock are located below, inhabited by a skeletal fisherman and suspicious big cat footprints.
6. Westerland: The typical stockade fort of Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. A small teepee encampment with canoes is located in the adjacent shoreline below the bridge.

Like I said, I'll cover these in further detail later, but as for now, I hope this will do.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT.

I am continually impressed by the level of detail and effort put into your maps. I would never be able to create a map as impressive as that. Thank you so much for doing this for me. Writing out my work is one thing, but seeing it realized in concept art is another.

The only thing missing from Gracey Square is the Requiem Aeternam Cathedral and Memento Mori Graveyard. Since those fall at the exit of HM, they'd be located in that green space between HM and TOT, right in the empty corner on the map. The map of the Central Plaza is perfect and exactly how I envisioned it. Once I go into Fantasyland, I'll better describe the parade route so you're able to connect it with the Plaza.

Once again, great, great, great work. I'm super impressed and grateful.

Very impressive park and details!:bookworm: Might be my favorite Dream Park of yours so far!:D Space was telling me I had to see this:hilarious: Great job!

It's honestly just a revamp of my most recent (as in almost two years ago) dream resort, but this draft is WAY better in my opinion haha. It's honestly amazing what OCD and a year's worth of thinking can do for a man. ;) Thanks for the feedback!

And thank you @spacemt354 for the update!

I'll be working on Fantasyland next. Given its massive size, it might take me a bit longer to complete. That being said, I'll most likely tackle it piece-by-piece, much like Hollywood Boulevard.

I could see multiple sublands in Fantasyland like a storybook village, wonderland, a circus, and Arendelle.

I'm going to limit Fantasyland to a smaller (but still large) amount, opting for a small handful of sub-lands, rather than a HUGE number as I have done in the past. Right now, the tentative list is the typical village, an enchanted forest, Arendelle, Belle's Village, and a circus. Obviously the village and enchanted forest would encompass much of the Disney fairy tale canon.

I've decided to take a quick break from Fantasyland to offer a sneak-peek into the Haunted Mansion, via some "merry Christmas magic."

Given my Fantasyland will host a Nightmare Before Christmas attraction, it would seem redundant to give my Haunted Mansion a holiday overlay, right? Wrong.

This won't be your grandfather's Haunted Mansion Holiday. This overlay is actually quite simple - rather than inviting Jack Skellington and friends to crash the Haunted Mansion for four months out of the year, the 999 haunts of Gracey Manor have opted to decorate their abode the old-fashioned way - without an IP.

While the soundtrack reflects the holiday season (in fact, it's the 2001 soundtrack for HMH by Gordon Goodwin), the Ghost Hostess' dialogue remains the same. Much of the storyline remains the same as a matter of fact. The only difference? The Mansion has been decked out in macabre decor reminiscent of a twisted Victorian Christmas. Snow still fills the Graveyard, there's still a giant, dead tree in the Ballroom, etc. Just don't expect to see jack-o-lanterns, Oogie Boogie, and Sally come September. ;) This is a real-world Christmas as depicted by an army of the undead. We'll dive into this overlay much later, of course.

Expect Fantasyland later this week! In the meantime, have a wonderful Christmas!
