I read this thread anticipating that we were getting a rumored Dr.Who attraction....if tshirts mean future attraction then great (wouldn't that be an interesting turn of events?)! But if tshirts means maybe we'll get keychains or shotglasses in the future...

I was happy that Disney would branch out and try Dr Who at all...but if it catches fire at Epcot...who knows

Being a huge Whovian, I would be totally up for this! Especially since I know a friend from another Disney forum who'd totally be up for this. Hell, even getting the Doctor Who Experience in DHS would make me more than excited!

It seems that a Doctor Who attraction at Epcot would be a very logical addition as the competition for european tourists escalates. Right now thousands of UK tourists are heading to Florida to visit... WWOHP. Like Potter, DW is a well-loved (particularly by the Brits themselves) British export that would attract those wandering tourists back to Epcot... maybe even make it a must-see for UK tourists. After all, the first place/park a tourist visits is where they tend to spend the most money on souvenirs and the like.

And of course, Doctor Who is catching on here in the States as well: it's come a long way from airing on saturday afternoons on PBS in 1984! DW was on the cover of Entertainment Weekly a few weeks ago, albeit as the poster child for "cult TV," it was still the cover of a national US magazine.

In addition, it would be a nice addition to one of the pavilions that doesn't have a lot attraction-wise beyond the (British Invasion/Airwaves) live shows in the garden.

Funny fact here, David Tennant, who played the 10th Doctor, actually played a bit character (I forget which one atm) in the 5th Harry Potter movie, if I remember correctly.

If that is the case I would block these web sites from your computer. :)

Thank you, I will take that advice. ;)
Although considering that he has felt compelled to buy every single Beatles tshirt that Target sells, and most of the Marvel ones as well, he has little room in his drawer for more. Who am I kidding *, there's no way he will not buy all four if they are available.

He did come across Dr. Who mugs on the internet and bought two. I do like the one that says "Keep Calm and Don't Blink". Clever.

Today is a rather slow day as only 1 has a Dr. Who shirt. It is not uncommon to see 3 or 4 Dr Who shirts pop up on any given day.

Thank you for these! I knew of 7 of them, now I have them all! LOL! Of course, I'm always on the lookout for Supernatural and The Avengers, so I have to keep a wide field of view. :)

So you're saying that Avatarland is actually happening and this is from an inside source?

haha that cracks me up every time. Saw it when Tennant hosted Never mind the Buzzcocks or something like that. Us Americans need British culture.

Does that really change the question?

Yes. Those are two entirely different questions. Why would we be praising Disney for offering non-Disney Merchandise? We're talking about T-shirts here, not some rare collectibles. Who's going to be saying ZOMG I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO EPCOT SO I CAN GET A DR.WHO SHIRT!!!

If you want one that bad buy it online. It's probably cheaper anyway. There are other things I would rather have the Merchandise managers focusing on than bringing third party merchandise (especially t-shirts or such) to Epcot.

I also have a good share of DW tees from a few of those sites, but if the shirts coming to the UK pavilion are unique to Disney, then... my interest goes way up.

It will be interesting to see how they come out, since they are being made specifically for Disney. I think all the t-shirt sites are proving how much cross-fandom potential there can be in lots of fandoms. Have you seen the "Dr. Whooves" shirts? LOL
Tangentially, I just got my "Ravenclaw Quidditch Team Captain" t-shirt from Qwertee (super cheap shipping from the UK) and I just love it!

Slow news day. New T Shirts start a rabid news thread and we hear guests actually want a new attraction as well.

Meanwhile Screamscape backs up my original hearsay that Transformers could be on its original THIRTEEN MONTH construction schedule after all....
