Yikes! Looks like the riots going on. Disney is gonna have to count the number of guests entering each store if they want to enforce county law.
Ebay...here we come!!

I am shook that DTD is packed, as many on here said it would not be, as it is normally dead.
I guess people just want a little bit of Disney? The parks are gonna be interesting when they open...
But I want my little heart to sore at the sights and sounds too ❤
I think all of us here, including me who started this thread, assumed the place would be busy with bloggers and Ebayers and general looky-loos this opening weekend. That demographic didn't disappoint.
The discussion about Downtown Disney not being a viable mid-term business case is based on the assumption, which I believe, that the currently weak lineup of retail and restaurants is not going to keep pulling people in for July and August unless Disneyland reopens.
Without Disneyland open, Downtown Disney's current offerings and operating strategy don't seem aimed for success.
If anyone knows of any good videos of today’s opening, feel free to post. Other than Micechat I’m not very skilled at finding decent vlogs that won’t make me bang my head against a wall. But I want my little heart to sore at the sights and sounds too ❤

More people turned up for the reopening of DTD in the pandemic than they did for Star Wars Land last Summer.
Here's a video from the local Noon TV news.
Trigger Warning: The video features images of at least five shoppers/pedestrians at Downtown Disney or on Anaheim Resort District sidewalks who are not wearing masks.
Thats funny, I usually found it to be the other way around for most other places in and out of the Disney bubbleThis must be it. I still go to Naples but it's only maybe 65% as good as its Florida counterpart. I wish the chef enforced more quality control with his food.
Anything of value/limited merch was always going to get scooped up by the resellers first, whichever day it opened.

If today‘s DtD madhouse was any guide, chalk this up to another reason why Disney leadership’s decision on the announcement regarding Splash Mountain was incredibly ill-advised, shortsighted, and dumbfoundIng.
Whaaaa? This was almost entirely related to the 65th Anniversary merchandise. I haven't seen any indication they are even selling Splash Mountain merchandise at World of Disney. At least not here in California.

Oh god, at the start a lady walks by with mouse ears. why would you wear mouse ears when the parks are closed? That is just like creepy to me for some reason.
