So I guess Disney has not made any official statement as to why this happened and why it took so long for a CM to open the doors?
It’s unlikely they willSo I guess Disney has not made any official statement as to why this happened and why it took so long for a CM to open the doors?
They made a statement that they were looking into what happened. I’m thinking that’s the last we’ll hear officially. So I guess Disney has not made any official statement as to why this happened and why it took so long for a CM to open the doors?
Which is unfortunate. I personally think that it would be nice if Disney was a bit more transparent about these types of incidents, especially if it was nothing more than an accident with a driver who was not aware that there were guests in that car, and some station CM's who thought that he was aware, and knew what he was doing. They made a statement that they were looking into what happened. Clearly, they were testing a new, secret upcharge event. Based on the popular concept of "escape room experiences," in Disney's Trapped On The Monorail Excursion, Cast Members lock you into a monorail cabin and keep you riding around the Resort Monorail circuit until you figure out how to escape the vehicle. My estimate on cost is $59.99 per person, theme park admission not required, but participants must be at least 16 years old at the start of the experience. Age at the end of the experience depends on how long it takes the participants to figure out how to get out of the monorail. So I guess Disney has not made any official statement as to why this happened and why it took so long for a CM to open the doors?

I think there needs to be a true level of inconvenience here. While I understand that's subjective, is this really any different than a ride breaking down? They don't release public statements every time guests are evacuated off an attraction.Which is unfortunate. And rightfully so! As human beings we make mistakes on a daily basis, but, we don't broadcast them to our bosses unless we have a wish to be unemployed. Somethings are important, others not so much. There was no harm done, even if they hadn't noticed the doors not opening at all, the worst case scenario would be that they get an extended ride in the monorail and probably have gotten off at the next stop. If no one was harmed, just inconvenienced they have no obligation nor do we have a right to be briefed on the activities of a private company, not even stock holders, unless there is a situation that may create a financial problem. Stock holders do not get to be involved in the day to day operation of any company.I think there needs to be a true level of inconvenience here. I recently rode Yellow and Red all last week during our trip on the resort line. Both trains exceeded my expectations of the monorail, from reading discussions here prior to my trip. The trains were very clean, no odor, and were prompt. Not discounting issues, but the trains were definitely better.
Not possible, that would make a whole lot of naysayers and people with no connection to reality very unhappy. They will contradict you, hang on, it might be a bumpy ride.I recently rode Yellow and Red all last week during our trip on the resort line. It was and somebody lost their job over it. If not for the doors failing to open, it was probably for the phones.I think this was more of a case that someone failed to open the doors not that the doors failed to open.
