Did you miss that day in internet sarcasm class in 2012?

*attempts to put down millennials as soft and sensitive*
*gets tough guyed by millenial*
Attack of the Clones is not on my list. You completely read that wrong.
When you put the worst movie in your “best” list...you negate credibility as a film critic

I can agree with your thoughts on Jedi. The final act is where it really picks up but I think Jabba’s Palace (minus the special edition musical number) is a fine scene.I answered your question; it was in a double quoted response.
I have no idea where you were going with the ID thing, though if I had to make a guess, it’d be because you wanted to take a shot at the millennial generation for no logical reason.
Regarding SW, ESB, Star Wars, TLJ, and TFA.
I don’t like the Ewoks at all, it’s a tonal mess in the middle of the film (Ewoks are a big reason why), and the first 30 minutes are a slog.
You can tell this was a film directed by committee, which it is. It’s no secret that Lucas ghost-directed ROTJ.
The last 45 minutes are simply outstanding, minus the altered ending.
It’s ranked last in the category of Star Wars films I consider good and very good.
Feel free to dismiss my opinion as lying to myself, though.
As much as I like Bourne, after Wick the shaky cam doesn’t work that well anymore. Also the fights not being interrupted by constant cuts. Love that.Crisp action and camera work?
I don’t think you saw the same Bourne movies as the rest of us.

It’s much easier to lay on, as well as detect, sarcasm if the rules of grammar are applied.

Well...they didn’t have a fire monster or gladiator ring like ragnarok...but they all can’t be Citizen Kane.
I appreciated them for what they are.
Literally nobody on here called it awful. That’s if I don’t get sidetracked watching the “awful” return of the Jedi that the kids don’t like...
Sure....like the early 2000s?
I was specifically pointing out what I perceive to be a contradiction. The second and third films notoriously have shaky camera work in its action scenes, and that’s a staple filmmaking style of director Paul Greengrass.
I don’t think even Greengrass would classify his action as slick.
Literally nobody on here called it awful.
You really think the backlash of Return of the Jedi is a manufactured outrage to justify positive reaction to the later films? That’s ridiculous conspiracy theory nonsense.1. So you’re talking about the literal camera technique? Gotcha.
I was more commenting that it was “slick” how they filmed ridiculous - but ultimately not technically impossible/gravity defying - at the speed they did. It was intense but not to a ridiculous level.
Many do call Jedi awful and that was my original point: Jedi gets bashed to push the agenda (my take) of liking the later stuff...which just hasn’t hit the bullseye - and often missed the target altogether.
Nobody really said Jedi was bad till after the prequels showed up. It’s BS.
On another note: episode 1 was released 20 years ago today.
Nobody - on earth - could have predicted what’s happened since that moment. Not a one.
You really think the backlash of Return of the Jedi is a manufactured outrage to justify positive reaction to the later films? That’s ridiculous conspiracy theory nonsense.
You think that people only started to voice this displeasure at some, or all, of ROTJ when the prequels came out? You don’t think that maybe the expansion of a certain online communications utility, coincidentally becoming more and more mainstream during the release of the prequels, may have helped burst open your bubble?
But I think the backlash towards Jedi has definitely grown in intensity. It’s not “conspiracy”...it’s a defense mechanism/subconscious for the newer era fan or the apologists wanting things not to change. If Jedi sucks...it draws the absolute crap since “closer” in a strange way to 4 and 5.
You often see people rank 7 and 3 ahead of Jedi.
That is nonsense...the original 3 are significantly better than all that followed - including Jedi.
The acting and characters were still far better.
7 maybe could have changed that. But it was a straight reboot - and not an improvement one - and its hard to give a damn about any of the characters 4 years later.
Just calling it my way...think what you want.
I guess we’ll agree to disagree on Jabba. I think the scene is very enjoyable from the moment C3PO and R2D2 arrive. The sail barge is where I’ll concede it can get messy and of course the cringey CGI musical. It simply just takes too long to get to the great escape. As amazing as the puppetry of Jabba is, and it is still maybe second only to Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors for large frame puppets, there are too sidetracks that simple halt the story to a screeching halt.
And it’s paying off for them. Each movie does so much better than the last at the box office.I like the Bourne films too, though I’m not as enamored with them as others.
But the direction and choreography, not to mention the sheer creativity, of the action in the Wick films is astounding.

I haven’t watched Little Shop of Horrors but a while back I somehow got into a YouTube kick of how they made that movie. Before then I was 100% convinced all the footage I ever saw of that movie was some special edition where the puppet was replaced by CGI like what was done to E.T. and that I never saw what the puppet actually looked like. The techniques they used to make that puppet move so fluidly on screen when in real life it couldn’t actually do that
Beyond deserved. And it’s paying off for them. Each movie does so much better than the last at the box office.
I don’t know your thoughts on musicals, but if you’re a fan, this is one of the best ones ever made.
With that said though, watch this clip. It isn’t the best song in the film by a long shot, but it’s an amazing example of great puppetry. I’m convinced I will never ever see a better example.
And amazingly, that was 1986!
Then you’ll enjoy Little Shop of Horrors.I’m a fan of Disney movies.
What do you think I think of musicals lol.
I will die on the film with the belief that Kylo Ren has the potential to be an all-time great villain.
The highs of ROTJ are higher than that of TFA. The lows are much, much, much lower.
