Does WDW allow you to eat your CS meal in a different CS location?

Just a quick question for the veteran WDW vacationers: in planning our upcoming trip, my husband and I have identified a couple of occasions in which we are both passionate about different counter service locations for the same meal. What I am wondering is: if he goes to Pecos Bill's and I order lunch at Columbia Harbor House, will he be permitted to bring his lunch tray into Columbia Harbor and eat with me (or vice versa), or will he be accused of being a tray thief?

I think as long as someone in your party is ordering from the QS where you will be sitting it isn't a problem. This is what we saw happen at the Liberty Inn in Epcot while we were there for lunch las August. A family came in and sat down. Some of them had brought in Turkey Legs for lunch from outside. They were told by a CM it wasn't a problem as long as at least one person in their party was ordering lunch from Liberty Inn which is what they were doing. In this case, I think it was the mother who was getting her lunch from the QS. So I wouldn't think it would be a problem. The trays are certainly generic, so I don't think a tray from Pecos Bills would be noticed in Columbia Harbor House.

I got a waffle sandwich from Sleepy Hallow and met my husband in Columbia Harbor House with his lunch from CHH. I wasn't sure if it was permitted, but no one said anything to me.

yeah, i can't imagine it'd be a problem. you may want to go in the opposite order though. get hit PB first, then columbia house.

i only say this because usually, around 30-45 minutes after opening, there's a CM or two by the door a columbia house. i'm not sure they'd say anything to you (other than "thanks! have a nice day!"), but if you wanted to avoid even an off chance, doing it in the reserve order would probably help. peco's bills has outdoor seating, so it makes sense to carry a tray outside there. columbia house doesn't.

We have done it. I ordered something from CHH and my DH brought something in from outside. No worries.:animwink:

Do it often with Columbia Harbor house and Pecos Bill's. Also at many places around World Showcase. They don't care where you eat it, just as long as you spent the money to buy it from them.

This reminds me of a time when I saw this couple walking around the main plaza area of epcot with a tray of food from the Electric Umbrella, just eating off of the tray as they walked about.

Not that I'm saying there was anything wrong with it, just slightly odd and kind of funny.

Although I have no personal experience, I have seen this before and no one seemed to say anything or mind.

Last trip everyone in my family had CS somewhere different, while in Epcot. I ate in Moracco, DH had a brat in Germany, DD had sweet & sour chicken in Japan. We ended up meeting ny DH in Germany & we sat there. Nobody said anything or seemed to mind. It was wonderful, because we all got what we wanted.
