There is huge potential for rides at IoA.... Here's my ideas and/or heresay:

1) Human Torch Flying Coaster (like the Ice-man idea too)
2) Arcade's Fun House (Easily fits into Amusement Parks:lol: )
3) Jurassic Park Helicopter Tour (Like Kong only more motion)
4) Wooden Coaster in JP (any name -- Stampede, Raptors, etc.)
5) Hercules and Xena Stunt show (instead of Sinbad)
6) Myth Dark Ride (Atlantis idea is good, but used at Seaworld)
7) Grinch Mountain Bobsled Ride
8) JP Jeep Motion Simulator Attraction with screens on all sides
9) Make Sneeches ride more like Wedway and open it.
10) Change the Cartoon show into a Secret Wars Action Show

Dude, we seriously need to like put our thoughts together and develop our OWN park! My ideas with a little bit of your input and your ideas with a little bit of my input could make an unbelievable attraction! (Sure, we'd need a TON of money to accomplish it...but it would still ROCK)

You're at the place man!!!
For more of a RUMOR...you can visit www.screamscape.com

But www.wdwmagic.com is where you'll find the SOLID stuff...(but don't take EVERYTHING on the boards as "etched in stone")

I agree... there once was a page called Thrillride that was incredible for rumors and Facts, but alas, they are gone. Now I go to Screamscape for all my park news, they are fairly reliable on other amusement parks (especially the more stable parks like Busch and Paramount's). The Disney rumors come from all over and keep you very excited, but you have to be careful in believing them. Things like the old Excavator coaster at Animal Kingdom, the Jurassic Park Jeep Ride at IOA, and the Copperfield Restaurant at MGM Studios were on these posts and where even featured as coming soon at the parks but still never saw the light of day, so you can never be too sure unless the construction of the building has started. Look at the Sneeches ride... they actually built it and it never opened, so you never know how far these things can get before running into a wall.:brick:

That's true...at least with the Sneetches ride, they USE the tracks...they have those little cars running on them so they don't look like "something gone wrong" and they KINDA have a purpose. (unlike the theater in tomorrowland...and the skyway buildings)...But, alas, it's a shame that nothing ever came out of the Sneetches.

I have thought a whole theme park as well, and actually hope that is a concept for their next park, does anyone know any of the next park ideas? I do agree, I doubt a new island will be made, but if you had to convert one, I think that the Lost Continent could easily be redone, or shrunk to the Dragon and Unicorn half, Poseidon and Sinbad can be rethemed or redone, as well as Mythos (If a Monster theme where to be added). I don't understand why this section of the park exists. All other islands are getting, or already have major movies, but where is the Lost Continent tie-ins?

I know I'm a bit late in commenting...

Lots of cool ideas tossed about here. But I must ask that Mythos not be touched. I love that restaurant...cool theming, best food I've ever had in any of the parks...nice view out onto the lake.

Do what you want along that end of Lost Continent...but do it around Mythos. :)

Nothing will be added to IOA for awhile, a new island is not coming. If anything a new ride will come not a new island.

Thanks! :)

There is a pic at orlandorocks showing a space cleared up for expansion. Next to the river ride in jurrasic park
Chek it out.

Wow, talk about bringing up an old thread. This was the first time Freak and I met. And I got an email that this thread was posted on... I NEVER subscribe to threads any more.

As far as land at Universal, they really do have plenty more land, people have posted pics showing what they own. It is not all connected together though, a big hunk of the land is closer to SeaWorld. They have more space at the current location for more rides at the existing parks and some more resorts.

as far as I can see, the only space for any ride expansion in the same park are,

Next to The Jurrasic Ride Adventure in IOA, Picture here(http://www.orlandorocks.com/full_ph...g& caption=Aerial construction photo of the%2<br%20/>0new%20Islands%20of%20Adventure%20expansion.%20%207-1-01)

Next to the flying unicorn IOA

HUGE lotbetween Back to the future and MIB (US) (Big enough to fit the "lost continent" in there.

The most likely scenerio for a ride expansion would be next to the Jurrassic park River Ride. The most recen't Rumor I herd is a new Jurrasic Park Ride, To be open by 2005 along with the film Jurrasic Park IV. If I were to bet money on any of the rumors going around. I would bet it on this one.

But I can see Universal Studios has more land than IOA. So maybe just maybe, The next mayor Ride expansion after The revenge of the mummy and Jurrasic Park in IAO(2005) should be in Uniersal Studios, Just for the clear simple fact of land space. So maybe will see something really good in U.S around 2010.

omg, your not serious are you...? please people leave it at 3 films...

i think a really cool attraction that should be made is a verticle drop coaster built in mavel land and based on like a machine where magnito scans riders bodys to see if their mutants or not, of course you go down the huge verticle drop and into the tunnel underground and just as you plummet down theres a computer playing like a digital animation of the people that have just gone down, and it picks out "at random" which ones are mutants and which ones aren't :)

edit - omg... well ive done some reading and to my embarrassing surpirse JP4's been in the works for years, lol "i feel stupid" aaanyway, this is what that cleared land must be for, just incase they did any new JP films they would leave some cleared space for rides that would have similar tie ins with that speciffic movie. Of course there could be some kind of ride based on something from JP3 but now JP4 is in the works then of course i'm sure they'll wait. Then if that is the end of the JP films they would go on designing either an attraction with a link in one of the films or a completley new concept :) just my thoughts anyway...

IOA just purchased a huge plot of land near Dr. Phillip's High School - the area behind/near JP and Dueling. From what I heard a few weeks ago over at IOA, expansion will be taking place there. What that will be, who knows..

That plot of land has been owned by Universal for a while now. In order to obtained the land for IOA, Universal bout upwards of 500 acres further down Turkey Lake Road that is planned to be used in the future. The had a model for all of their plans set up in the Old IOA Preview show building next to Kong (RIP). They plan one more park (land is cleared) and possibly a forth. They also have at least two more hotels planned and a golf course (they had a second planned where Dr. Phillips High School is, but the county hasn't sold yet.)

They really need something, that park opened in 1999 and since then they have put in two ok attractions, but I certainly do not want to see another ride like spiderman go in at IoA, it's good, but not that good

That's interesting. I had an idea for a Sneetches ride that they could do at IOA, I didn't know that they were supposed to do one.
