Does anybody know about IOA's new island

Not demolishing an Island to build another, but doing some hard work in the bridges between two of the Islands to detour people to another man-made "island" and back to the next original island.

Universal's land is one large 1800 acre parcel that boards John Young Parkway and the Beeline express. Wherever you see old runways, landfills, and trees, that is Universal's land.

The area between MIB and BTTF has been cleared out for years (in fact, that imagine was taken in 1999/2000-ish). It is not a new development. That doesn't mean that something is not going in there in the future, but at this point, it is anyone's guess.

From looking at the pictures, I figured out what the rest of the numbed spots in the picture are. Like I said, Number 1 is an expansion of the convention center (so far the building looks really cool). Number 2 is an expansion of the festival bay mall (rumor has it that they are planning on building a "bay" with a boardwalk around it with a wooden coaster and the worlds largest ferris wheel), and number 3 is the Millena mall. The millena area is a huge plot of land that's being built up with offices, shopping, and more (like Holyland). The mall is almost done and has stores like Macys, Nordstroms, and other expensive department stores...

So, I guess none of the numbered areas are universals land.

I've always thought a Monster Island should be built. Not the one from Godzilla. But Universal has lots of great monsters. There could be a Jeep ride based on Tremors, a Psycho Haunted House ride through, even a Mummy attraction. Universal really is one of the best movie companys out there, they have good movies in all genres minus cartoons, and their monsters have always been some of their biggest stars. Although they do have Jurassic Park and Jaws, they could do many more.

YEAH...

"Bumps in the Night" Island!!!

Awesome IDEA!!! But, with Kong and Jaws in the other park...wouldn't this land be better over there???

I think that they should have a land based on space or something...I mean...adventurous!!!

They have the city...they have the jungle, they have the myths, they have the comic strips...ok, don't know how that's adventurous...they have the cat in the hat...ok, even LESS adventurous :)

Well, I think Jaws is just so-so, but either park is fine as long as they have a real place for all monsters to hang out. Earthquake could be revamped into a Tremors ride with a giant Animatronic Worm at the end. Plus there is a revamped Monster show coming in place of the old Beetlejuice show, so sure... the whole back side of Universal will become Horror Blvd.

from the rumblings that i have heard there will never be a new island for IOA. i always thought the monsters could support their own theme park. just imagine, dracula's castle as the parks icon with an inverted coaster that flys in and out the castle, through the crypt and other mysterious areas of transylvania. so much could be done with the fab five: drac, frankenstine, werewolf, mummy, and creature from the black lagoon plus there is a ton of extras that could be used to help support the park. just because they are monsters doesnt mean it has to be scary...at least in the daylight

I have thought a whole theme park as well, and actually hope that is a concept for their next park, does anyone know any of the next park ideas? I do agree, I doubt a new island will be made, but if you had to convert one, I think that the Lost Continent could easily be redone, or shrunk to the Dragon and Unicorn half, Poseidon and Sinbad can be rethemed or redone, as well as Mythos (If a Monster theme where to be added). I don't understand why this section of the park exists. All other islands are getting, or already have major movies, but where is the Lost Continent tie-ins?

Mythos is a really large piece of real estate in IoA and it looks soo cool but the minute people see the facade of the building...they say "I wanna ride that!" and it's NOT A RIDE...I think a cool "Journey to Atlantis" type attraction would be really cool in there...(kinda like an egyptian "nile river" attraction)

Is there any room behind Marvel Super Hero Island??? I was thinking that they should expand back behind FearFall and build a Fantastic 4 attraction...or...a Silver Surfer coaster or IceMan Standup coaster where you could glide on a track of "ice!"
