Do you put any faith in crowd calendars?

supposedly a 3/10 for magic kingdom today, and I'm in an 85 min wait for Peter Pan? 35 for jungle cruise too. I'll personally never count on those things again, even for an estimate

I have found them to be pretty accurate, plus you have to look at the overall picture. I see there are a lot of attraction with short wait times right now. Some attractions have long waits no matter what , and even a 1 out of 10 is still a lot of people.

They are usually accurate to an extent. They are just predictions off last years numbers which lets be honest WDW is getting busier each year. Also, being a local Sunday's are always in the moderate crowd area. Lots of locals go Sunday to MK.

For my family's purposes they're a good resource for preparing, but not for basing plans on. They're helpful for predicting crowds based on holidays, school vacations, deals, and more. Otherwise I'm not interested.

Touring Plans says that the highest wait for Peter Pan on a 3 day should be somewhere between 56-75 mins and the app says 76 minutes expected. Disney's times are often slightly higher than actual, so it sounds like they're right on. Some rides are always busy.

Most schools here on Long Island are closed Monday and Tuesday for Rosh Hashanah...makes for a good time to get away for a little trip to the World during "off" peak season.

Exactly, and a 3 for Jungle Cruise puts you in the 33-50 minute range.

A friend of mine actually just got an Anna and Elsa fastpass+ for 7:30 tonight, so I would think the crowds level must be pretty accurate for that to happen.

To an extent they've been pretty close to accurate. We usually go in Sept the lowest week for crowds and last Sept the Peter Pan stand-by was usually right around 90 mins.

I've learned to be flexible when at Disney. I plan but realize those plans sometimes have to be trashed and alternatives put into place. Those crowd calendars were never expected to be 100% accurate. There are 3 sites I compare and they all post different numbers. One site does pretty well in predicting averages but they are still only a guide. Crowd surges, weather and lots of factors can affect the numbers. So if PP is that crowded move on and come back later when maybe the lines arent as oppressive or plan on an opening morning visit another day.

Peter Pan is peculiar that way. We've been there in the dead of winter on cold, rainy days when almost everything else was walk-on...yet Peter Pan was always over an hour wait. Maybe there's a secret password and they're handing out money? I'm suspicious!

I don't pay attention to crowd calendars, if there is a line I either wait or just keep moving. One of the benefits of going to WDW every year is that there is never a need to rush.

We gave up on Touring Plans' projections a few years ago after several trips where the actual crowds were night and day from their predictions.

When we used them this last time, they seemed to be pretty accurate. I always go to WDW with the thought that I need to expect a lot of people, even if the crowd calendar says it's not so bad, though.
