Both my wife and I watch our diets closely (for different reasons) on a normal-day-to-day basis. We've pretty much cut out all processed food from our diets. When we're at The World, we're there to enjoy ourselves and neither of us worries about what we're eating. Treating ourselves to some fine dining and not worrying about it is the main reason why we spend the extra $ to get the deluxe DP.

Hubby & I equally intend to moderate on our upcoming Disney cruise. It's not as much a weight thing as it is a well being thing. If I gorge on anything I'll feel uncomfortable & sluggish. I'd rather not feel that way. Not saying I won't have some splurges, just not overboard with them. We've talked about it. Don't want vacation to be about eating anyway. :P

Good Saturday Morning Everyone..Hope You'All are keeping well..Here's my teaser for today..Now for a man my age,(21) I still watch what, and how much I eat at home. But at WDW it's a different ball game.I ain't travelling 3000 miles to snub up my nose at a overdose on cupcakes,or a full portion of Baby Back Ribs with a side portion of fried chicken. This is where the fireworks begin..:)..I reckon Women need more of an excuse than Men to watch what their eating at Disney.I could be way wrong here..So let the fight begin..Are women more prone to watching their diets on a Disney vacation compared to their other half.?;)

Heck no! My body becomes a Disney Dumping Garbage Can! I don't even beat myself up over it. I figure between adrenaline and excitement and the heat and all the walking, I'm definitely burning up the calories! HA! And this next trip, when I run the Disney Princess Half Marathon, Game On!!! The cupcake tour will be in full effect and i'm even more excited to chow down! :)

We are Disney conditioning right now for our trip in August lol!!!!! I am trying to loose a few and dear husband is so stinking skinny it isn't fair!! We are running with the kids. It is a fun thing to do w the family. Needless to say we are not going to deprive ourselves of any yummy culinary delights!! I eat more ice cream in Disney than I do back home all year :) and we plan to consume a bit of calories in the way of lapu lapus and margaritas!!!

I ate way more than I eat at home normally (since I started my whole outlook in life and how I wanna live it) and I still lost around six pounds during our vacation. I naturally don't eat red meat and I'm a huge on carbs (no sugr though I find that funny for some reason) but I felt that even though we ate more, the walking more than made up for the extra calories.

Life's too short to be hungry. I eat what I want when I want... but I don't want junk food. If I eat fried food & chips, I feel like garbage.

It's more of a food vacation for the kids. I'm usually a drill sergeant about eating balanced meals & finishing the real food before dessert, but I loosen the reigns at WDW. We still provide healthy food, but chill out about how much they eat.

We have got on the scales before and after just to see if it is true about Disney calories? We have both eaten a lot more than we do at home, Damn your signature restaurants! We have both been the same weight when we get back. So Disney Calories do exist, or the amount of walking we do cancels it all out???

I would say yes. My mom and I tend to watch it more than my dad and brother. I have to because of my sensitive stomach, and she does because she likes to try to lose weight on vacation if possible. And she has the sensitive stomach as well.

None of us go super crazy, but my dad and brother eat more fried food. None of us are big dessert eaters either, especially me. So many desserts I can't have, and it loses its appeal. That, and I don't mind if I come home ten pounds lighter.;)

I eat bigger meals at Disney, since we make a lot of ADR's. We're going to sit down restaurants there every day, and we don't do that home. But then I snack less in Disney than I do at home, since we're always on the go and trying to do so many things. At home I snack when I'm bored, or when I can't sleep, etc. In Disney we're also walking a ton. Usually I find I've either lost weight & stayed the same when I come home.

To answer the question though - neither one of us watch our diets on vacation, but we are both fairly healthy eaters anyways. I'm more likely to be the one questioning what we're eating. DH has really never paid attention!
