Do you "move in" to your room?

I always say I'm going to put all of our clothes and shoes into the dressers and closets, but the excitement over finally being at WDW is so strong that we're usually bolting out of the room so we can start enjoying our vacay. I mean, who wants to sit in their room folding and putting away clothes when they could be on their way to a park, heading to DTD, going to an ADR, or exploring their resort?

Still, I can sometimes feel claustrophobic in the hotel rooms...especially if I spend a week having us all live out of 4 large suitcases + carryons. So, I'm seriously considering taking the time to "move in." It's a warm weather trip, so I plan on ziplock bagging outfits for the kids to make things easier (helped a lot with our last warm weather trip), but I still don't know.

So, do you "move in" or do you "live out of your cases?" And do you have any tips for either?

Willing to do anything if it would get me to Disney.:D I'm good at being organized but I wish my son took more after me in that regard. Last time we went together, my side of the room, clean, neat, organized. His side a complete and utter disaster. Don't know what the mousekeeper thought when she entered the room to clean.:D

I'm pretty sure my mess of overflowing luggage has scared many a mousekeeper.

I totally move in! Like totally! I ask for extra hangers and have our outfits all hung up in order of when wearing them and put everything in the drawers and put all toiletries away. It is one of my most favorite parts!! I know, so silly! But it adds to my OCD crazy planning obsessiveness. :)

Yup, move in
1. Unpack cases into separate drawers and put toiletries in bathroom
2. Spray entire can of Lysol onto bedspreads ;)
3. Secure valuables in safe
4. Create snacks and b'fast drawer near fridge
5. Head to parks!

We actually move our "own room" in when we arrive; in our RV that is ;). So our getting settle is a bit more than unpacking the suitcases. First of all, there are no suitcases in the RV all of our clothes are in the cupboards and closets. But we have to back in to our site with enough room for the slider and still reach the water, sewer, and electric hookups. Once in the correct spot we unhitch the truck and get all the support/leveling feet in place. We then proceed to open the RV slide room and I start to set up the kitchen items that have been stowed for the trip - coffee maker, etc. DH will get the water & electric all set up. Next we will open the awing and get our Cabela's recliners out on the patio. After we are all set up we will usually spend the first evening at DTD and save parks for the next day.
