Do you ever recognize other WDWMagic members in the parks?

I think we need something consistent, like a button with the WDW Magic logo with your user name under it placed on your right shoulder. A secret hand shake would be cool too. :D

You can buy them here. :king:

Thank you so much! I am just doing some shopping now. Wondering if some ladies can help me out here. I would like to get one of the t-shirts as well as a button and frankly I have ....ummmm....a difficult body to do online sizing. :lookaroun

So, here's the deal I really like the jr. raglan shirt here http://www.cafepress.com/wdwmagic.73276089

as well as the cap sleeve shirt here
http://www.cafepress.com/wdwmagic.73271766

so here's my issues - I have a size 8 waist and double D . I love wearing t's but I usually have to try them on because I could be anywhere from a medium to an XXL depending on how the sizes run and how the shirt is shaped

If anyone has input at all on these t-shirts - what size you bought and how did it fit it would be greatly appreciated!

...and yes, I just posted my size on the message boards...now I'm imagining meeting one of you in the parks and you staring at my chest saying, "You MUST be I_heart_Tigger - I'd recognize those....errr...I mean YOU anywhere!"

I've met other Magic folks before (both at WDW, and up North). And in Sept 2013, I'll be attending a DCL meet! :sohappy:

I had another member recognize me - we were both in the same Polynesian gift shop. She didn't say anything, because she wasn't sure it was me. And then when we were both home she messaged me asking if I was in that shop the one night & described my dress. Sure enough it was me! Too bad we didn't get to actually meet.

On my trip in 2009, I was pretty sure I saw Tom Bricker and his (then girlfriend) wife walking around taking pictures at ASSp and Epcot, but being the shy person I am, and totally not wanting to embarrass myself if it was just a lookalike, I definitely didn't say anything.

Or a super-secret greeting phrase or something, right??? That way even in a crowd one can shout out the greeting and anyone in earshot who knows it can call back. Another way to "find" others of our kiiiiind. LOL!

That's freakin' funny! :ROFLOL: And I totally can relate although I'm not quite the same...uh...size...plus mine weren't God-given so there was somewhat of a learning curve in figuring out how to dress myself again. :animwink:

I've not ordered either of those shirts but I've ordered stuff from Cafe Press & Zazzle before. The 'ladies' fit tops always seem on the small side to me. I never put those shirts in the drier. I generally order the largest size available and hope for the best. If there's room for shrinkage I figure I can dry the shirt. If not, I won't. Also, if the waist part doesn't satisfy me there's always the simple act of taking it in a little where I need to to get the fit I'm looking for. :D

Steve should know that us girls are out here looking out for him so his logo looks the best we can possibly make it look, huh? ROFL!!!

Oh dang! Not necessarily from this website but from an online Disney person nonetheless, when we were at AKL in January 2010 the old man and I got on the elevator one morning and I *swear* Deb Wills was the other person standing there when we got on. It was kinda awkward because I was almost positive it was her and I think she may have picked up on the fact that I recognized her. I wasn't sure because, you know, what are the odds? I didn't say anything but it makes sense that it would've been her since it was marathon weekend and there's a group of folks who connect via her site and run the race(s) in the spirit of breast cancer awareness as well. Maybe she appreciated not having that conversion in the morning like that and being able to enjoy some solitary peace. I dunno. In a way I regret not speaking up but in a way I don't. I also didn't say anything because for many years I've imagined myself coming face-to-face with various celebs or authors/artists I admire and not wanting to call undo attention to that person when they aren't making an official appearance. I never want to make people feel awkward or anything. I say that because I *have* met (Nell) Harper Lee, the author of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' because she's from the same small town my parents live in. She was taking care of signing some documents with me at the insurance agency I was working at. My bosses told me she was coming in and instructed me not to make a fuss because she's a very private lady and it makes her uncomfortable. Of course I'm a big fan of her work and would love to have showered her with 'thanks yous'. I didn't and actually enjoyed her friendly company in the short time I interacted with her.....in spite of having a temporary lapse of memory as to what my own name was and what I was supposed to be doing to begin with.

But, hey! If anyone ever spots my troup of goof-ball redheads and wants to come chat with us, please do! I'd love it! My kids might think I'm special which could be a cool thing!

BTW, we will be at Typhoon Lagoon on Tuesday, May 8th! We may be a little harder to recognize with our swimsuits, wet hair, and me with no makeup (yes, it's a really profound difference). Just look for the glowing pale boys, a glowing pale dad w/a tremendous farmer's tan, and semi-tan mom.

I agree a call-back phrase would be fun. When the Canadians from the pavilion were bar hopping our leader (aka Captain Canada) would yell out a distinctive "WHOOP-WHOOP" and we would all respond, head to the door and go to the next bar...sure beats trying to round everyone up individually.

and...yes mine are god given. My Mom, sister and I were all the same. Age 14 we were scrawny little stick figures then by age 16 - galore!

I did manage to find full measurement charts here:
http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/help/help_popup.aspx?page=help_sizechart.aspx

So, I'll measure some shirts that fit well and match something up.

You're right - I have to get a good fit...I want that WDW Magic logo to look goooooood. I just think of Stand By Me when they're discussing Annette Funicelo and how they noticed when the A and the E started to bend around the sides

I totally think of that exact same scene when buying any tshirts that have words or a logo that go across the chest!

Thats funny! This happen to me and another WDWMagic member though I wasnt wearing a dress. I was boarding a friendship boat as he was leaving, I didn't approach him though because I wasnt possitive and we were both in a hurry. When I returned I messaged him and yep turned out it was him.

I met WDWFigment (who told me his real name was Tom) once during food and wine right near the land pavilion.

Recognized him from his photos and the gigantic camera. :ROFLOL:
