It did not dampen peoples spirits though. We were so high on Epcot Center pixie dust that night I doubt we would have notice a nuclear war head going off.

On some trips, I've worn the wdwmagic shirts in the park for days on end and not met anyone at all from these forums.

On other trips, knowing particular members were here, I've had 50% success randomly running into members and putting that voice with a face and a name. :king:

But in my opinion the best way to meet wdwmagic forum members at a Disney trip (other than attending a semi-formal meet such as the Epcot 30th anniversary trip) is to run a Run Disney event and plan to meet up with finishers for a meal at the end.

I hate to challenge your claim. Unbeknownst to you, my wife and I plus a lovely lady whose name I do not remember just might be the defacto “last ones in”. You see after we were all escorted to the front of the park, we let it be known we were staying @ the boardwalk. We went back through the gates and received a personal golf cart ride back to the gateway. The security guard actually had to open the gate back there to let us out. It was extremely cool. It was also shocking how quickly you can get there by cart.

I also have video of our cart trip. PM me if you want to see it.

PS – I briefly met you at the 25th expo “museum” and wished we got to talk video more. Like then, let me thank you for all your brilliant work. As a professional editor, I KNOW how much effort went into each video you produce. Kudos and keep em coming!

I never ran into anyone from the boards by chance but did meet up with quite a few on planned trips and still keep in touch with most. Had many good meets back in the day!

ha. i just bought a button for my camera bag as well. i've bumped into a few part timers who recognize my tshirt.

in all seriousness, what about an idea for a meeting spot of some sort on 10/1? maybe this needs another thread? i think it would be very interesting if there were some roundabout area in epcot and a timeframe?
