Do the resorts have Starbucks in them?

Where can I go to get Starbucks? At D-land they have espresso carts that offer very nice espresso drinks, but I really need a genuine Starbucks latte once in a while. Since we'll be at the Caribbean Beach Resort for 7 days, I would love to start my days with a Starbucks vente/non-fat. I've heard about the humitidy...better make that iced!:slurp:

*Please* don't tell me I have to leave the happiest place on earth to get it...we're not renting a car!

Nope. No Starbucks. Believe me - it's the one negative thing I can find about WDW! Sadly, if you wanted a theme park with Starbucks, you'd have to go to Universal. :zipit: However, I can recommend a frozen coffee drink that WDW sells. Oh it is so good. The bakery on Main Street sells them and there's a place in MGM that sells them. Then, in Epcot, there's a place that sells frozen coffee as well. They are really, really good. No Starbucks, but delicious and creamy just the same. They help me survive!!

No Starbucks, but stop by the Polynesian for some Kona Coffee , I understand its :slurp: . (not a coffee drinker here, but my DH needs a pot to jump start his heart each morning).

Maybe Disney should put a starbucks in every hotel on their property. That would be wonderful! We have a starbuck in our local SuperTarget (weird, huh?) and I can not go shopping without getting one. I'm addicted. But, if Universal has them, then WDW will probably never get them...just a guess. Good Idea, though.

As far as I can remeber there are no outside vendors within any of the Disney Parks or Resorts so Starbucks would definetly no fit with the whole experience. Especially Caribbean Beach I don't think teenagers in Starbuck's uniforms would quite fit in with the themeing of an outdoor Caribbean marketplace. I think this also applies with most of the parks and other resrts as well. I wouldn't mind if they put a Starbucks in Downtown Disney.

Except for all the McDonalds stuff that is everywhere. There are restaurants on property and then there are fry carts in each park. Not that I am complaining...but that seems to be the only outside vendor they will allow in.

The Dolphin hotel, in the Epcot area, serves Starbucks coffee at the new restaurant Fresh. It also serves a variety of specialty teas. However, I doesn't think they have a barrister bar within the restaurant. Fresh serves a gourmet buffet breakfast that I highly recommend. The quality of the food is superb! We stayed at the Dolphin in late October 2003. The hotel did have a coffee bar near the lobby but I'm not sure if it is run by Starbucks. Go on the Dolphin hotels website and see if that can help you.

Mmm all this Starbucks talk makes me want a Mocha frap right about now :slurp:. Someone mentioned DTD for all your coffee needs. I'd recommend that too. During my last trip, my aunt had cappuccino (sp?) at the resort we were staying at and she didn't like it as much. But at DTD she bought cappuccino at Ghirardhelli's and she loved it. I'd definitely recommend Ghirardhelli's for coffee or even better, chocolate milkshakes :slurp:.

Actually, the coffee served at all of the little stands throughout the parks, such as the ones found around Epcot, is all sold by an outside vendor. I'm not sure what the name of the company is, but I enquired once as to whether they were actually CM's or not and they told me no, despite wearing CM name tags. No matter. I find their coffee to be atrocious so it might as well be the Nescafe junk sold in Disney's own restaurants.

I'm sure the reason Starbucks isn't sold is because of Nescafe. The other vendor is probably allowed to sell their own coffee because they're not advertising their name or the fact that it isn't Nescafe coffee.

OMG! Copper, I love your avatar! Where did you find that!

Anyhow, they serve various kinds of coffee around Epcot in World Showcase as well as the Sunshine Season Food Fair in The Land pavillion.

I could go for some Starbucks right now though. I love their white chocolate mocha! Pair that with a big blueberry muffin and I'm a happy camper.

I found my avatar on some disney clip art website. I actually had a Bassett hound named Copper, hence my screen name. I no longer have the dog but kept the name. My dog ate/drank everything in site including left over Starbucks coffee! The only place on property to get Starbucks is the Dolphin Hotel and they give you a whole pot of coffee.

Although I see Starbucks as more of a marketing marvel than the greatest coffee makers, I have to admit....I'm addicted! It does have a unique flavor that you either love or hate.
Now that there is a Starbies in my Safeway that gives me my 8th drink free, provided I swipe my Safeway card every time I buy, it's a better value for me than others. I'm hooked!

Found out that there is a coffee maker in each room at our resort...its usually a 4-cup, so I have already packed my coffee filters & packed my House Blend & scoop. Now, how am I going to keep my creamer from spoiling when I won't have a 'fridge?
I'm hoping the ice bucket will work.

Starbucks is pretty good but my favorite is Dunkin Donuts, it goes back to when I was a kid. The biggest problem I have with bux is their prices. I still can't figure out how my coffee costs $3.50.It's beans and water and milk and sugar. I wonder if the Columbian Cartel are smuggling coffee instead of coke.It might be more profitable!
