Keep Moving Forward
Some things coming out of SDCC - Moana will not have a love interest and voice cast announcements.

Jemaine Clement voices Tamatoa

Tamatoa is a self-absorbed 50-foot crab who lives in Lalotai, the realm of monsters. The conceited crustacean wants to be more than a “bottom-feeder” and overcompensates for this perceived shortcoming by covering himself in all things shiny.

Alan Tudyk voices Heihei

Temuera Morrison and Nicole Scherzinger play Chief Tui and Sina, Moana’s parents.

Tui, the well-respected leader of the people of Motunui Island, wants Moana to follow in his footsteps as leader of their people, but fears his daughter’s draw to the outside world. Strong-willed Sina appreciates Moana’s curiosity, but also wants to protect her daughter from the fabled dangers beyond the reef.

Moana’s confidante and best friend, she shares her granddaughter’s special connection to the ocean. Gramma Tala dances to the beat of her own drum.

lol you got me messed up I love let it go and I love musical films so I am loving this song regardless of hype.

I think the main concern I have about the music is that there seem to be 3 separate people individually writing songs, whereas Frozen had one team, Beauty & The Beast had one team, etc. Not to say multiple hands in the pot can't work- Oliver & Company also had Barry Manilow, Howard Ashman, and I think at least one other group all contributing, but then again, Oliver & Company is exactly at the forefront when you think "classic Disney musicals".

Who said they are individually writing songs? They are a team and co writing.
