the same person that told me months and months in advance that the hat was going to be taken down the exact week it was taken down said the name would be renamed to something like hollywoodland or hollywood adventure... but things could have changed since...

In only had audio, not video, but the way it sounded to me, I don't think Bob knew. Seriously.
I heard this too, but I actually thought it sounded like he wasn't sure he could answer, not that he didn't know about it. I thought he said "Are we..." in sort of a "So can I say anything..." type way. Then when he got the nod from whomever, he said yes we are, but we won't say what it's going to be... No way to ever know the truth obviously, but just thought I'd toss it out there.

What do you mean, how would indy be gone? Since it is obviously a guess I would say to expand Star Wars they would not move Star Tours so expand forward and right which would take over indy and the show buildings up to the old American Idol building. As for Marvel it is one of Disney's biggest money makers it is a necessity in the park especially to drive children to actually want to go to DHS.
How would you make use of Marvel

So, was this asked by a 6 year old????? You wouldn't think she'd be a shareholder now. Or, are her parents the shareholders? I'm not a shareholder myself so what do I know? How would she even know about DHS's plans that young? If not for Bob's slip, you would think DHS would release the name news along with their other plans.

I do not like the name "Florida Adventure" and still do not like "California Adventure". Just sounds so tacky.

I would be fine with Disney Studios. HOWEVER, whatever they do, the Citizens of Hollywood better STAY!!! They, Scifi, Prime Time, etc along with some of the old hollywood look of the buildings. I would be devastated if it all vanished. But yes, a name change I think is a good thing. But this would be the 3rd time. This has to be the charm and final. Does not look very good to keep changing it. It's like it has no identity.

You see this is what is tough for me. I do not like the way IOA did it since I believe Marvel is very personal character wise( to the extent seeing Grumpy is cool it still good seeing him on a ride where as seeing the HULK in person is just super awesome. I would love to see some street performer shows with heros incorporated and also a resaturant. As for a ride its tough for me a dark ride would be nice but I feel like a coaster would be great too since you can incorporate the organized chaos of a coaster into the themeing such as hulk before it became dull and boring. Now a days everything is going to CGI anyway but I just feel that does not use Marvel to its potential.

What properties would you use? GotG land,

Well Im not very well versed in the entire universe but I believe that all marvel is in the same techincal universe or and going to be soon through the avengers and GOTG movies. Honestly I would stick with the Avengers for now I do believe though GOTG will get 2 more movies so after the third one they could add something for them. I just think the Avengers are bigger as a whole right now since each has their own movies(or are going to) then the main movies still with 2 left

There's a contract that ties up every major character in the marvel universe as exclusive to universal in perpetuity

So with that, can anyone say what the word is for the marvel/disney/universal theme park rules? I have heard that part of disneys agreement in purchasing marvel involved not infringing on any current presence in their locale, I.e. Leaving marvel out of any parks within reasonable range of a universal park that already has a marvel presence. Anybody?
