I've heard "Disney Florida Adventure" mentioned, a la DCA.
It can't be Disney's Florida Adventure unless it includes this:

not in the sense that walt disney studios in california was. i always got the feeling it was designed for more production than it ever really saw.

It came awfully close to being a working studio. There were numerous scenes filmed on the 'city streets, as well as active work going on in the sound studios. (You can Google all of the projects that called MGM home during its prime).

Too bad they closed down the animation studio. We were there when the finishing touches were being made to 'Home on the Range'.........not the animators fault that it was a flop!

Are we sure Iger didn't realize the name changed already?
Since he said something along the lines of: I will announce that the name is changing, but not what the name is.

I would assume it is changing. They could have been calling it something else internally for a while since he was somewhat confused by the phrasing Disney's Hollywood Studios. He mentioned it as the park formarly known as Disney-MGM Studios. So maybe he was just used to that name.

When I was visiting the World in December, I think this gator's cousin jumped into the pond less than 30 feet from me, didn't even see him in the tall grass, at Oak Ridge Trail when I went down to try and scoop my ball out. Needless to say I will never go near that pond again!

Heh. I'm so used to seeing gators on golf courses in Florida that it's just part of the scenery. Although in that photo, I would have called that put a gimmie and the gator can keep the ball.

Thought it was Denmark. That's where Hans Christian Anderson is from anyway. Makes sense.

Not that the story called out a specific Scandinavian country, but it's assumed to be Denmark. Hans Christian Andersen is Danish, and in the harbor at Copenhagen there is a statue of the Little Mermaid, created by Danish sculptor Edvard Eriksen in 1913 to celebrate the story.
