Whatever they do I hope Disney makes transportation their #1 priority, I don’t think many people are going to leave DLR proper and take a bus or walk a mile to get to this lot so that’s going to be the biggest obstacle to overcome, add a monorail or a Skyliner and anything instantly makes sense, without some sort of off road transportation I think whatever they build here struggles though.
I don’t think they could fit any more traffic in the area, Disneyland Drive and Ball road already get backed up, I think a few thousand more parking spots using those streets and there’d be traffic backed up onto the 5 and to Harbor.

That's why Angel Stadium makes more sense as a transportation hub and mixed-use space than a third gate. The ARTIC station is nearby as well. Just build the skyliner to transport people to the Eastern Gateway. There, you solve the need for more parking, hotels, and a mall without adding more vehicle congestion to the area surrounding DLR. The convention center could move there too, and boom, there's more land for Westcot.

Why would Anaheim want to move the Convention Center (west coasts largest), not to mention all the hotels on the same plot of land, to being further away from DLR? That is the whole selling point of having it located where it is.

Basically anything that is going to happen if more land is to be acquired is going to require just Disney in order to do it, no other parties just to switch land.

DLR brings significantly more in direct revenue to the city than the convention center. And since Anaheim wants DLR to expand, TDA can use that as a bargaining chip in negotiations. Anyway, you've said you're against a third gate, so I don't think this is a good-faith discussion. Anything anyone says, you will say "no".

Disney Irish, to what extent are you actually against a third gate? Do you think it’s just a made move for the company or do you really just not want a third park in Anaheim?

Even if I’m against a 3rd gate doesn’t mean I can’t be convinced a particular idea surrounding it can’t be good.

I just don’t see Anaheim spending Millions to move the Convention Center ~5 miles away, I don’t see a benefit to Anaheim here.

I personally don’t need a third gate, especially with the current available land, and rather have expansion of DL/DCA instead, and I’ve given my reasons why.

But overall if additional land away from DLR was available and Disney purchased it, I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of a third gate in principal if it made sense.

I don’t know Why Universal Hollywood doesn’t do that. Sure they are a landlocked park but what’s keeping them from buying some property somewhat nearby and creating a West Coast Epic Universe?
