News Disneyland to give Tarzan’s Treehouse a new theme

I do find it odd that they wouldn't just call it the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. It's seems that's basically what they're doing with it, give or take a few creative liberties.

Looks like WDI was trying to chose between going back to Swiss Family Robinson or doing an original SEA concept, and just decided to do both.

Silly name aside, this is the best Disneyland news since the return of the Castle Walkthrough.

What? Tarzan doesn't look to be making an appearance at all in this new version of the Treehouse. For a good many reasons it's clear the emphasis of this project is elsewhere.

No, no, no. The imagineers are just being very sly, and you obviously don't know where to look. It will clearly be infused with Tarzan.

Wow, very happy that there is some form of Disney that can keep an original concept. Of course I’m sure Kim is responsible for this, she does try her best to add heart into projects that Disney approves for the park.

I know her projects are controversial on this site but looking back I really do like her work. There's really only one or two elements I mildly dislike from each project under her watch (parts of the Gibson Girl interior, the projected mirror in Snow White, and the painted stars on the castle roof).

It’s nice and wise of them to throw us Super fans a bone with this one. It’s not like anything they could do to this walk through attraction would please the masses. Also smart of them to save something like Encanto for a bigger attraction.

I like it!! It's better than the Encanto tree house or the Jungle Cruise movie tree. Best of all, it isn't a store or some extended queue.

What a lovely surprise! As long as the physical tree remained, I would be happy. I didn’t mind the Tarzan theme even though I LOVED Swiss Family Robinson as a kid.

But this seems like a really nice way to keep the basic original treehouse with some fun additions that make it a bit more modern.

With the change of Aladdin's Oasis to Tropical Hideaway, the new FX on Jungle Cruise and now the return of the Swiss Family Treehouse, I'd say Adventureland has seen the most improvement of any Disney Land in the past few years.

...Now if they could just fix Indiana Jones.

I'd say overall at both WDW and DLR. The replacement for that statue was less than ideal.

I'm annoyed about the change in queue music and the removal of the spiders in Florida.

Every time I see a change like this, it reinforces that there are some people there that still care about Disneyland Park.

Pleasantly surprised that there's no direct IP tie-in, but assuming they don't do something stupid this seems like the first unconditional win for the resort in a long time.

Adventureland Treehouse will take a bit to get used to, but the naming convention isn't that different from, say, Tomorrowland Terrace. They could have easily done a lot worse in all areas here.

I love it. DL has been doing good things lately (imo) The new treehouse, the ToonTown renovation/MMRR, Project Stardust stuff, and Im also on board for the PatF retheme of Splash in DL, not sure how it will fit in at MK but we shall see....They even refreshed the Subs and I hate that ride but still nicer to look at.

@TarzanForever I'm sorry that there are so many haters on this forum. Maybe you should do some type of self-graded report card about the accuracy of your leaks to prove that you are the ultimate leaker when it comes to Tarzan's Treehouse to all those who deny thy authority.
