Maybe Aladdin’s Oasis can become a Aloha Isle like at WDW moving Dole items and that queue from the entrance. Freeing up walkway space. Seems that would fit into the “unclog “ the walkways projects around the park??

That's a great idea.

Build-A-Bear and Ridemakerz are now closed. And this makes it sound like the New York burger stand with the gross looking milkshakes will be taking over that entire space.

I just contacted Nancy Luna, the Fast Food Maven for the OC Register, and happens to be married to Brady MacDonald, the LA Times Theme Park guy. Hopefully they can get more info about the permit.

As soon as I know, I will pass on the info.

I checked back on this and the permit has been approved by most of the required city departments. Fire Department and PW Development Services (Power and Water?) approval is still pending.

PW = Public Works

Much bigger than APU, Anaheim Public Utilities, which is a city owned provider of electricity and water. Also provides Street Sweeping, and bills for Trash services. Republic Service has the contract to pick up the trash.

Public Works is the City Manager's overseer of APU, and other things, like permit parking city streets, drains, sewer, etc.

So the McDonalds on Harbor Blvd. is now closed for a major refurbishment. When I drove by on Saturday the interior was gutted down to the studs. This permit appears to have just been a part of that closure and remodel process.

That McDonalds was always so cramped and with very low ceilings, even after a big remodel just five years ago. Let’s hope this one opens up the interior more.

I can't picture you eating at a McDonald's.

However, this was just filed:

Received BLD2018-00193 TOBY NGUYEN 1500 S HARBOR BLVD Tenant Improvement: Anchor (8) kiosk to existing foundation for food orders with electrical circut, located in dining area. "McDonalds"

1500 S HARBOR is where the Mickey D's on Harbor is located. The other permit is for 1554 S Disneyland Dr, which Google Streetview puts right at the bridge in DTD.

It's a head scratcher. I can't see a McDonalds going into DTD, but that address and the reference to the Esplanade point that way.

Maybe a McD's kiosk is going on the bridge? They had something like this in Frontierland for a number of years.

Key phrase from my post "when I drove by". I didn't stop, and I wouldn't.

When I want a quick cheeseburger, I go to the In-N-Out down on Tustin Avenue. In-N-Out is good fresh food served up by clean cut and polite young kids, almost the polar opposite from McDonalds.

I did, however, walk into that Harbor McDonald's a few years ago when some family was staying at that Marriott next door. As I remember, while the nephew ordered something I stood by the Coke machine and just marveled at the people working behind the counter.

Lots of lights.

ReceivedBLD2018-00317WALT DISNEY WORLD CO1313 S DISNEYLAND DR (Mickey and Friends Parking Structure)Mickey and Friends Structure - Electrical removal of existing parking structure lights and replacements with LED light fixtures and controls total fixtures 8088.

Glad to see that finally being addressed. Surprised Anaheim Public Utilities hasn't pushed them to do it earlier. As someone who just went through a major Kitchen remodel, the building codes required LED light fixtures in the new construction areas. It makes sense for so many reasons.
