Let me address this segment...

>>
  • DisneylandForward (proposed)
    • Disney has made public a proposal for a major expansion of the DLR under the name "DisneylandForward", publicly lobbying for changes to Anaheim zoning laws to allow for building attractions in other parts of the resort district, outside of the two existing parks. [official]
      • "Possibilities" mentioned for future expansion at the resort include: [official]
        • Clone of Toy Story Land found at DHS, HKDL and Shanghai
        • Clone of DisneySea's Fantasy Springs expansion
        • Clone of Shanghai's Zootopia land
        • Clone of Hong Kong's Frozen land
        • Clone of Tron Lightcycle coaster
        • Disney Springs-esque expansion of Downtown Disney
        • Eastern Gateway parking structure
        • New theme park southeast of Harbor Blvd.
      • Disney stresses that the proposal is just in "the very beginning stages" and that no specific projects are currently planned. [official]
  • Disney Vacation Club Tower at Disneyland Hotel (planned)
    • A 350 room Disney Vacation Club timeshare development is planned for the Disneyland Hotel.
      • Still just in planning stages, needs approval from City of Anaheim. [source]
      • Wouldn't open until 2022 at earliest [source]
  • Garden Grove Hotel (rumor)

This should be reworded.

I would remove "resort district", as that term is used for the entire area, including "off-property" sits of the Convention Center, Hotels, Restaurants, retail etc.

And replace with other parts of the Disney owned land, including Hotels and Parking Lots.

The DVC tower at the DLH has been approved by the planning commission and city council, and is currently under construction. Many permits have been pulled and are seen in the Permits Thread.

The Garden Grove Hotel has been taken off the table, and while Disney is always watching the area for potential projects, DisneylandForward is the focus, and a key selling point is not buying new land. I would remove mention of it.

Well, that’s a terrible idea.

Disney HAS to sell the rezoning idea to the residents.

Promising that no tax dollars will be used, and that Disney will not expand out of the land it currently owns in the resort district are positive messages.

What that translates to is that The Manchester land being used as CM parking, most of the Toy Story lot and the Paradise Pier Hotel property, all currently not part of the Disneyland Resort zoned area will be added to it. So Disney is trying to be sneaky in getting that approved.

And that is a SMART idea. Of course, after the rezoning is done, Disney could buy land for parking, warehousing, etc. Never say never ;)

How likely do you think it is that it will happen?
