Disneyland officially reopening April 30th

Good question, but thinking I would be wearing my N95 masks with two elastic bands that go around head.....they really don't move vs my cloth masks that could likely fly off.....can you imagine picking up those or them interfering with rides? I really wonder what is going on with that.....at WDW.
Masks flying off is really a non-issue on any disney ride. Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks with 100+mph coasters had mask mandates in place this past summer and I never heard any issues with those.

How do people in Florida keep their masks on from coming off on thrill rides like Everest or Big Thunder Mountain?
I wear cloth masks that wrap over my ears and have never once had even the smallest issue with my mask and I’ve ridden every thrill ride in the parks since they re-opened last summer. If you have a properly fitting mask, it should be absolutely no issue.

I'm surprised that not more is being made of the restriction to California residents only. While Disney is choosing to comply with limiting park access to California residents only (which they are entitled to do as a private organization), the People's Republic of California is mandating through force of Law that out of state residents are restricted from participating. This appears to be blatantly unconstitutional (Article 4). The question is mute since Disney is doing this also out if its own volition, but it makes you wonder if there were no state mandate to restrict out of state residents from participating, would Disney be doing it? But then again as has been seen with the pandemic, many constitutional rights have been bent...for the greater good...

Hard to take someone ranting about something being unconstitutional seriously when they think it’s spelled mute. Your argument is moot!

Good to know the spell check police are out in force today.

Siri voice to text... I think that was also designed in California.

I must have missed the ranting part though, would you be so kind as to point it out?

I love living here. Seems like a nice place, and the weather is perfect.

Of course I'm not planning to go to Disneyland anytime soon so the California Only thing doesn't really impact my ability to visit the parks, as much as it keeps me ... alive.
Well maybe eventually, the outside world will be glad to have you back.

New version of the map is showing up on the server. The tram vehicles and the "Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Tram Station" label have been been removed. So you all may be walking.

However, I see a fairly substantial mistake elsewhere, so this version may not see the light of day.
How do you access this?

Wow this is amazing news!

Pretty exciting to get an official date. And it's a great move to make it clear that only Californians can go because it keeps people from driving and flying in and increasing the cases. But yes, it's also pretty temporary and guessing by the summer others will be allowed to come as vaccinations really increase by then.

Anyway, can't wait for the opening. I definitely won't be trying to get tickets for a few months minimum, but I'm happy for all the people who will go. It's just nice to see things getting back to normal after a year of uncertainty everywhere.

Yeah, who wants weather that sits in the 70's and 80's year round. That would suck.
If it means no more of the 30's and 40s we get for 1/4 of the year...

This should be fun to watch from home.
No kidding! 🤣

I'm looking forward to going back to the park as much as the rest of us, but I'm steering clear of this reopening thing for at least a few weeks, if not a month. I need the dust to settle, the CM's to get back into the groove, the App that dictates where and when you move around the park and go on rides to have all its bugs worked out, etc., etc., etc.

But, I will say a prayer for those CM's. They'll need it on April 30th.

can i just say that only california residents being able to visit disney california adventure is hilarious to me

That's hysterical! 🤣

I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. Everything right now is just so... stupid. :D

What constitutional rights were those?
