Disneyland officially reopening April 30th

Honestly, I don't see why they need to bring back any kind of AP program Or the Trams. Obviously enough people are willing to pay full price AND walk the length of the tram route both ways, just to get their Disney fix.

Heck, they probably should have raised prices too. Why not?

We still have to remember the park has literally been open for just a month now and at smaller capacity in the middle of spring. If it stays like this at another 6-9 months with bigger capacity is another thing. I still think come September it's going to fall to the usual ghost town levels again barring weekends. Right now everyone is just excited to be out of the house and finally doing fun things again. Eventually that walk is going to get old as well for some.

The first time I walked to Mickey & Friends from the park was the early morning of post Grad Nite. I had been awake for over 24 hours, spent lots of my energy watching the 2010 Lakers championship game with my classmates right before heading to DL, and had spent hours waiting in lines and walking around the park. In high-heeled boots.

Walking back is now a breeze.

The walk (really, more like a hobble) back is even worse. A good kind of pain, I guess. 😂 But while I thought it was a fun experience to walk the route as a bit of COVID history, I have no interest doing this in the long-term and can't wait for the trams to be running soon.
I've never really been concerned about the walk from the parking structure to the park given I'm going to be walking all day. That walk back though, yeah, that might be a bit tougher after spending the whole day walking. We always looked forward to that tram ride when the girls were tired and our feet were worn out.

Oh, for sure! The walk from the parking structure to the park is really pleasant, honestly, and it honestly felt nice on my first trip back since last year because it felt like a natural way to build anticipation for the parks.

Honestly can't remember the last time I took the tram, had to have been a few years ago. My friends and I would normally just walk both ways than wait for a spot on the tram.

I barely ever took the tram at the end of the night. Lines were way too long and it was just a pain in the @$$ with strollers. The way to the parks was usually pleasant as I would arrive in the late morning. Still, after they built the new walking path We usually walked.

I never have a problem with the tram at the end of the day. I'll walk up to the loading area circled in red and every line will have 10-15 people waiting in it. Then I walk over to the green area and there's nobody there. Most people don't know there are two loading areas.

This! People still don't know this area, I think; I saw people trying to get back to Mickey and Friends from Downtown Disney and they think walk the long way around (basically a giant U-turn to the other side) because the remaining tram stop areas are roped off, when in actuality there's a shortcut to get back on the tram route in the green. (Also... people could just hop the roped off sections. 😂)

Yeah, it's no fun... if you can walk. But for folks having mobility issues, it's a nightmare. :(

My whole family went to Disneyland last week, my parents haven’t been in 10 years. We had a park hopper starting at California Adventure so we couldn’t ride my fave Indy!

they’ve never seen Carsland or StarWars Galaxy’s edge and we rode all rides on both lands cept luigis. Boarding passes for rotr nearly gave me a heart attack. Both of my parents liked Radiator Springs the best/were more impressed by Carsland (they aren’t fans of Star Wars, but then again they aren’t fans of Cars either ). Also on Millennium Falcon, they were the pilots and did not pilot the ship at all, they were confused the whole time and screaming and crashing, honestly a really good experience, super funny, I recommend it to y’all(letting clueless pilots fly it) lolol.

I really liked Rotr, the animatronics, the huge sets and huge space screens, all really excellent. But I feel like Indy>rotr even though I didn’t even ride Indy this time around hahaha. Trying to figure out what felt off about rotr, cause when I think about it logically, what about Indy is more impressive than rotr? Maybe I over hyped rotr for myself.

also there were ppl getting in line for Rotr without knowing about the boarding pass situation. When they were told they couldn’t ride it I felt so bad!

So has anyone noticed that the bloggers/vloggers are still going to Disneyland multiple times? I've seen a couple pop up in my youtube feed that have probably been 5+ times each...I wonder how long this will last? Maybe as long as multiple people still keep donating cash to during their livestreams? Who needs an AP when you've got loyal watchers to fund your business.
