Well now that they're ripping out the trolley, perhaps those wires will finally go and they can magically have larger floats in DCA now.

The one silver lining of the Trolley closing, those stupid wires that served no functional purpose and somehow became the only thematic detail anyone cared about at that park can finally go.
Its not only those wires that limit float size.

That was my point.

BOTH resorts have issues with entertainment, and there's really no point in people coming into this side of the boards for no other purpose to say "Buh buh Disney World does this one thing slightly better." That's not the point.

"WELL Flights of Fantasy runs every day, unlike the day parade at Disneyland!?!1!" Well, token WDW enthusiast(s), if it still isn't running the way it was designed to and as it did before 2020, it's not worth crowing about. So stop.
FOF may not look Pre 2020 but in 2025(unless we here different)MK will have FOF and Starlight...A Daytime Parade & Nighttime Electric Parade all Summer Long(Until MNSSHP)Just like MK had 1977-2016. DL doesn't have that same History.......

No MH 2025 is confirmed!

Plus no update on if F! will be restored in 2025! DL Knows Better!!!!!!!

Except you can't even say you're fully running full day/night parades on the same day if there are still many positions in said day parade that still haven't been restored.

If we are going to compare WDW to DLR entertainment not sure why people aren’t talking about the biggest thing WDW does better over DL, nighttime spectaculars. WDW has 2 daily firework shows and does Fantasmic 365 days a year, yes in the fall on select nights one of those fireworks are locked behind a special event ticket but they still go off.

I am well aware why DL doesn’t do nightly fireworks, so I’m not going to criticize that however, only finances are keeping Fantasmic from not being nightly and it’s especially glaring when WOC seems to go down for months at a time every year so that DLR has zero nighttime spectaculars weekdays.

It’s kind of pathetic that the second most attended theme park can’t swing a night show 365 days a year.

There's a LOT of those "select nights" when party season is in play for now over four months a year. 365 nights of fireworks sounds great, but the reality is that many of those nights are paywalled. In busy, BUSY seasons of visitation. On top of already on-average shorter park hours.

What happened to all of those smaller acts at WDW? Can't the world's most profitable theme park complex afford to pay for some smaller groups? Or is it only worth it to pay for the BOOM BOOMs because that doesn't require nearly the number of entertainers, who also can't do a lot in many of their live shows because WDW is too cheap to pay for union performers, hence dozens and dozens of lifeless performances by chorus members throughout the resort.

We could do this ALL day.

Epcot isn’t paywalled though, and honestly, the fireworks aren’t really paywalled at MK either. Anyone can go to the Contemporary deck or Poly Beach and watch them, with the soundtrack piped in. They are usually later in the evening too, so you can easily hop on the monorail post Luminous and make it back before they go off. I do it often when I’m staying there.

Ah yes, because you are clearly getting the full experience of MK fireworks from out-of-park locations where you can absolutely experience the fireworks and projections and hey, wait a minute...

"You can still get a compromised experience even if you're not willing to pay extra" isn't really a selling point, especially if the point is to make WDW's entertainment look great but simultaneously ding DLR for its entertainment issues.

Have you watched from the contemporary deck? You can see the projections just fine. You’re still ignoring the fact you can see Epcot’s show every night, and DHS. WOC is nightly roughly 9 months a year on average since the pandemic

You know it’s different in person and again, that’s the second firework show you could see that night. Epcot has an amazing show where you can be front and center.
I'm told very confidently all the time by people on this forum that watching something on the internet is absolutely the same as watching in person and that this is a valid way to form an opinion. Therefore, it must be true in this instance too.

How much of that Epcot amazing show (that obviously clearly fits Epcot as envisioned and built and not Magic Kingdom 2 park, right?) is inaccessible unless you're in pristine spots that are earmarked for dining packages?

DL can afford to run F! daily all year-round. But just because the status quo for years (maybe decades) is that it only runs daily during peak times, it's okay..

Same goes for low-level pyro firework shows. Wondrous Journeys, Mix Magic, etc. could be ran all year round in B-mode with low-level castle/FL pyro (aligning with city restrictions), but they don't. Instead they get (cheap) projection shows.
Even DHS beats that with the nightly pyro-minimal Wonderful World of Animation show.

The Epcot show is very visable from the entire lagoon. It is exceedingly easy to get a great spot because the show is designed to be viewed 360 degrees. There is no dining package, the “front view” is available to the public, and the dessert package is off to a side, as well as two spots in France and Italy for private groups. There is ample spots in Canada, Japan, Norway and China with equally great views. Epcot is by far the easiest place to watch a show of practically any Disney Park.

Yeah the only place the view sucks is if you are standing infront of one of the three islands or infront of a tree.

So the Luau, the parades DHS/DAK/Epcot used to have, Off Kilter, the Dream Lights on the Castle, the Citizens of Hollywood, Voyage of the Little Mermaid are all back?

Did they change the Nemo show back after they apparently changed it and it sucks even more now?
I wasn’t saying WDW was superior just pointing out the nightly fireworks due to location. Off kilter is back and VOTLM is coming next year. The others were cut far before COVID and DL still has none of its theater shows back. Nemo was also too long before imo.

DL as been cutting acts as we speak like spider-man and other avengers stuff. Epcot has daily performances in Mexico, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, UK, Canada, USA and usually nightly concerts and Jammitors.

Can we just let the news that a perfectly good day parade won't be performed for a whole year for no good reason without people immediately, unprompted, pipe into this thread for no other reason than to be like "Buh buh buh WDW can still run two parades (even if one of them is still running in a half-a$$Ed state, we're going to just ignore that part)!" Seriously.
