The line suggests there are iconic moments in the named movie - "Iconic moments from Disney and Pixar films like Turning Red". Which is a steaming đź’© pile of a movie. Tangled was also mentioned, which actually has an iconic moment, along with Toy Story, Frozen, and dozens of other movies not named 'Turning Red'. Someone is trying to push that movie and I have no earthly clue why.
I have the slightest feeling you don't like turning red.

This is confusing. This is essentially a new parade.

Perhaps they are taking the vault strategy. Insufficiently run their entertainment for very long, hide it away until we beg for it to come back.
They just don't want to pay to staff three parades with PTN the Pixar parade and Magic Happens. It's sad and disgusting.

Both of those have been around longer and (especially PTN) much more loved by the DL fans. They've been asking for PTN to come back basically since it ended.

You're straight out wrong with this statement.
just to be clear, i'm not against magic happens, PTN or season of the force. i am against the "nostalgia-focused" lineup as a whole that is clearly meant to draw people in without spending additional money.

Read my signature. I don't do nostalgia.
PTN is better than Magic Happens. As a 1 to 1 trade, PTN should be the choice.

Bob did two Pixar movies an injustice - Luca was very good, and Soul was good. Turning Red was a dumpster full of horse đź’© on fire. Awful premise aimed at angst-filled 11-15 year old girls with overbearing mothers. Elemental was light years (no pun intended) better.

I may see how good Moana 2 is soon.

Anyway... my apologies for the derail, back to the actual topic of DL's 70th.
See, I thought Luca was terrible. Good Dinosaur bad. Turning Red really impressed me with how much I enjoyed it. Soul was meh. I haven't seen Elemental or Inside Out 2, as I wasn't a big fan of Inside Out 1.

IMO they should axe the Pixar Parade and do both Magic Happens and PTN if they really can't do three parades at a time. Move Magic Happens to DCA if you still want DCA to have a parade.
Yes, and if it's too big of a hassle to do two parades in one park for some probably nonsensical reason, they can move PTN to DCA, where it has run before.

I'm really very frustrated by them just shuttering a relatively new, very good daytime parade because apparently they are now at that level of cheapskate.

And their continued insistence on choosing cheap Pixar crap over literally anything else.

There are issues with clearances for larger floats at DCA. And soon to be even less backstage area for storage.
Plus Pixar Parade at DCA because of Pixar Pier.

Well now that they're ripping out the trolley, perhaps those wires will finally go and they can magically have larger floats in DCA now.

The one silver lining of the Trolley closing, those stupid wires that served no functional purpose and somehow became the only thematic detail anyone cared about at that park can finally go.

On the Disney Parks Blog site, Disney is showing off everything coming to Disneyland in 2025 including the 70th celebration, seasonal events and new stores coming to Downtown Disney but nowhere does it show off anything about Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond store. Come on Disney, aren’t you proud of this thing? Think of all the money you saved building it.

Yes they also have firework shows every night
Have they restored the cuts that were made to the post-pandemic version of Festival of Fantasy?

Because I feel like that's important context to have if we're going to trot out the superiority of WDW's decision-making, not to mention all those other parades they used to have at their other parks that are long gone.

Sadly not but almost every other entertainment offering has gone back to its pre pandemic form, Festival of fantasy is the only holdout, Starlight looks like it'll be a full cast parade and all the seasonal parades are at their full casts Festival of Fantasy just got butcheredhopefully with them hiring more people with Starlight, they'll give Festival of fantasy what it deserves.

So the Luau, the parades DHS/DAK/Epcot used to have, Off Kilter, the Dream Lights on the Castle, the Citizens of Hollywood, Voyage of the Little Mermaid are all back?

Did they change the Nemo show back after they apparently changed it and it sucks even more now?

Well, only little mermaid is coming back but most of those were long gone before the pandemic with the exception of the citizens of Hollywood and dream lights. Neither resort has been good with entertainment but Walt Disney World is getting better with a lot of new entertainment acts next year.

That was my point.

BOTH resorts have issues with entertainment, and there's really no point in people coming into this side of the boards for no other purpose to say "Buh buh Disney World does this one thing slightly better." That's not the point.

"WELL Flights of Fantasy runs every day, unlike the day parade at Disneyland!?!1!" Well, token WDW enthusiast(s), if it still isn't running the way it was designed to and as it did before 2020, it's not worth crowing about. So stop.
