The Star Wars segment was equivalent to the joke Harrison Ford did when Episode 7 was announced. Ford took his money, shoved it in his pocket, and jokingly just stated "I hear they're making another one". That's what this was.

They're making a Star Wars Place.

brb1006, you have to admit though, that this is in no way an anniversary special about Disneyland... if it is, how so? What segments in particular were about Disneyland and its history, celebrating its existence for 60 years?

Wait, new Asian Disneyland opens in June and all they could show were some crappy renderings?
That's what gets me too. Spend the effort to assemble this idiotic mish mash of randomness that sums up to have NOTHING to do with anything related to anything... and then actually toss in some promotions.... and, lets be honest, not show ANYTHING considerable nor new about them? Could've made a big impact with something that people and news reports would've been talking about tomorrow etc... but no, all people will be doing is going "Disney releases a new rendering of their upcoming project"...

I enjoyed watching the special. Watched it with my daughter, she helped me figure out who some of the performers were, and I enjoyed them for the most part. I went into it figuring there would be little to nothing on the parked, and was glad to see they did feature some at the beginning. I loved the Star Wars part, and orchestra performance. My son loved the part where they waved the lightsabers. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have a light stick to wave. And I don't think Star Wars Experience is the actual name of the land, but who really cares what it's called? It's no worse than Star Wars Land.

As others have noted, very little of this had to do with Disneyland.

Much of it was just performances (OF COURSE they're gonna sing "Let It Go"), promotions for upcoming movies, and stupid montages of animated films. I gave up after the fourth montage.

It's basically like all Disney Park programs - an infomercial with celebrity appearances intertwined. Not sure why some of you were expecting something more.
Yes, completely unreasonable that people were expecting an infomercial about Disneyland...

What makes that so bad is they had to spend time making it look so hokey. Just the pure Revit models look rather amazing.

What about the Tron coaster and the Zootopia bit?
What do either of those have to do with Disneyland?

Guys, I'm pretty sure I just saw Whoopi Goldberg from Star Trek plugging all the Star Wars junk and thanking Walt Disney.

All because she did a voice of a Hyena this gives her credit...*facepalm*..

Did anyone even noticed that this special was also a Sissy Slap fight between Lion King & Frozen..
