Disneyland 60th Anniversary Special

Well, this is definitely not what I expected. I wanted some history, and I didn't get that. It's reminding me of those horrible Christmas specials Disney puts on each year.

I got excited for nothing. Now I kind of want to pop my Disneyland Treasures DVD into my player and watch Disneyland's opening day and "Disneyland After Dark" to ease my disappointment haha.

I expected some sort of modern Disney channel type mess for this special, but I tuned in for a bit out of curiosity.

Wow... what idiot assembled this? A mish mash of generic Disney stuff with no sense of purpose or relation, why even call it a 60th Disneyland special? This has nothing to do with Disneyland and is a blatant ad for Disney the company... and it is poorly done.

I assume this was someone in marketing saying "Hey, the 60th is over, but we can milk it one more time and show off all our stuff! Yeah, yeah, we'll relate it to the 60th and it'll be great."

The Star Wars Land segment was a joke.

Perhaps I was already in a sour mood this weekend but damn this 'special' was complete utter crap.

Not Disneyland. If shown and mentioned in a segment that featured "While the original park is 60 years old LAST year, this is some exciting stuff coming to other parks around the world" it would have worked.

This 'anniversary' special is not about the anniversary, it has NOTHING to do with it at ALL. I still ask, what idiot in marketing came up with this concept and pieced it together. A bland mish-mash of already bland Disney things tied together with an unrelated concept. If this was a written paper or a presentation anywhere, it'd receive a failing grade.

Edit- Dr. Hans, oh I like Disney stuff, but this is BAD. You don't go somewhere announcing a presentation on the Disneyland 60th anniversary and then show something like this. It's ridiculous!

Edit 2- Endor, agreed, if at least they're going to show some modern pop music stuff, have it INVOLVE Disneyland!
