Almost a year ago thanks to my fiancé (girlfriend back then) i did my first 5k. It was a horrible experience but I kept pushing myself to do more and more. Today I run a 5k every other day in the mornings, I've done Expedition Mt Everest and my last big race was the Tower of Terror 10 miler. Like I said before, my fiancé has been a great inspiration and I'm trying to run the wine & dine half with her. When the event sold out, I never saw myself running anything more than a 5k and here I am.

If anyone knows someone that is not participating and wants to sell their bib, please let me know! :)

Not that it is legal... but there as a still a person or two in a few disney running groups on facebook that were looking to sell bibs. I know a friend of mine was trying to talk me into buying one.

Oooh, Wine and Dine event merchandise. Just hope there isn't a "line ride" like there was at the 2013 Disneyland Half. A three-hour wait to check out event merchandise.

I'm arriving Saturday afternoon about 90 minutes before the expo closes. I hope I made it in time to purchase one of these shirts. If not, no biggie. I can likely get it online through Disney next week.

Have they gotten rid of the tumbler-with-lid-and-straw cups for the expos? I haven't noticed them available for the last few =(

:D (The "3" is because this picture was posted yesterday...3 days to go, in other words). I LOVE the kids races medallion:

Is it wrong that I actually like the two medallions better than the actual medal?
The kids race one is definitely my favorite. I like the half medal but I'm still a little sad they changed it from the SSE design. I wasn't expecting that big a re-design until next year for the 5th.

Does anyone else follow runDisney on Twitter? Yikes! It endless tweets/retweets like today that get someone removed from my following list.
I was thinking the same!

runDisney these days seems to be all about social media.

Finished in 2:32-ish. Started in corral F. Pretty good and strong run. Sluggish though walking around the showcase for the afterparty. Felt like I walked through all 4 parks.

On top of that, earned my first coast to coast medal.

Congrats!!!

I really want that Jingle Jungle 5k Medallion. So cute! Might gear up for the Wine and Dine again. This might make my race list next year (if I start saving now for the flight)

Yeah, seemed the 2 minute launches seemed less crowded, but this is coming from someone who has never run up until last night the Wine and Dine.

Compared to Disneyland, the corrals were not squished.

So how did the more corrals with fewer people work out? Did the start seem any less crowded?

I started in E. To me, it definitely seemed a little less crowded. Although, this course allows itself for opening up more than the others. The usual culprits for crowding in the parks didn't seem to be as bad in previous years.
