DCL people can be a bit gross, too. On our last cruise, my wife and I saw 2 full glasses of apple juice left in the hallway with the rest of the dishes from someone's room service.

1. Why order juice if you don't want it?
2. There are 2 sinks in the room. Why not dump the juice down the drain before putting the dishes outside the door???
Dude on my last cruise somebody kept leaving their room service dishes in front of MY cabin door. We had connecting staterooms and it was left in between my room and my wife's, meaning someone was literally walking down the hallway at least 2 doors to leave their crap by my room.

If I were a betting person, I’d bet they will add a DVC exclusive area. I bet it’ll go where the primitive campsite is. It’s the perfect size for a pool, community hall-type area, etc. I bet there are going to be gates installed to keep the “Campground Clientele” out of the cabin areas. It’d be very easy for them to add a gate on both ends of the road leading to the cabins. Then, they could easily add a gate leading up to that primitive area.
You will loose that bet. If the first cabins come online this summer, they would have had to started construction early last year. You need the amenities finished before you start selling.

They do sometimes upgrade amenities, but that would need to be budgeted down the road and paid for by members, like when the Boulder Ridge pool was redone, I believe.

Do we anticipate these will have the same rules regarding resale DVC points as RR? I know I can use my first contract I bought resale at RR but not my second because I bought it a year later after they had changed some of the rules of resale. Also, will the resale of points from these new cabins have the same rules as RR where they can only be used at the home resort and not the other DVC resorts?
I know this is several pages back, but I want to circle back to this.

The general question about whether it's got the same restrictions as Riviera resale has been answered, but you're saying that you bought a Riviera resale that can be used at other resorts. That should not be the case as the rules changed before Riviera went on sale to the public. This may have just been written wrong and you meant before RR instead of at RR, but the current rule is that any resale contract at Riviera or any associations created thereafter can only be used at the home resort.

I read it as meaning he could use his resale contract to book Riviera because he bought it before the rules changed. So his home resort is elsewhere, bought before Riviera opened.

Not that he bought a Riviera resale contract.

Ok, I can see that. The order of words there had me thinking about the use of resale Riviera elsewhere, as opposed to resale elsewhere being used at Riviera. At least your reading of it makes sense.

So, uh, when do we expect these might be possible to book for non-DVC? Trip needs booking and, well, it's Fort cabin or we just skip. If it's gonna be, like, July/August before we can even see availability for later this year, that'll be a skip.

You’ll be able to continue booking like you can now.

Initially they’ll declare maybe 50 cabins into the Trust, which will be the DVC inventory. The remaining cabins will be owned by Disney to book as normal.

As they sell more points they’ll declare another batch of cabins into the Trust. So the number of cabins available to book through Disney will dwindle.

With sales opening tomorrow all info on prices, incentives, dues, fixed week charts, etc will drop in the morning.

Rumored dues are ridiculous so without very high incentives, or something like subsizided dues for a promotion, this is going to be a very hard sell.

The incentives are pretty weak. There was a time when opening incentives where best offers to entice people to "buy now with best incentives." That's changed and they seemed to figure out they were giving best prices to people who'd by at any price.

I'm a big DVC defender and through my most rose colored glasses cannot recommend buying here at these prices and dues. Incentives are better at other resorts with cheaper dues. I'd currently recommend Riviera and switching into Fort Wilderness at 7 months. I'd only consider buying Fort Wilderness if really needing something like Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas and going with a Favorite Week.

My guess is that these are intentionally poorly priced to (1) make more off people who will buy at any price at opening, and (2) make more from cash bookings by extending periods between conversion of cash rooms to points rooms via declarations. I think Disney is expecting high demand for cash rooms (new rooms for FW lovers who don't want DVC) and if that plays out then we will see continue to see low incentives and it taking many years to sell out. If cash bookings get soft then we may see better incentives.

Loops will open one at a time from this summer through projected April 1, 2025.

That’s interesting. They need 30 done by opening day so that DVC members get a new cabin when they book. How many cabins are in each loop?

I read it was batches of around 6-10 cabins being swapped in and connected to utilities, taking around 18 months to swap them all out. You’re saying half the time. Not that I heard from official sources so maybe someone had just got their timeline mixed up.
