Understandable… but it has nothing to do with the question asked.
Never said it did…

“May” was a joke

Slow news day.

What I am interested in is are they gonna build a better ship this time? Or continue to punt and wear out the docks at Nassau and castaway?

For another time…adieu

I noticed a subtle change in wording in the current Disney Files: Disney Treasure “is scheduled for delivery in 2024.” Are they walking back the claim that it will actually sail in 2024? We know cruise ship construction is still susceptible to delays and many of us had already thought late next year was a stretch.

Generally ships debut within a couple months of their delivery, so wouldn’t be deep into 25’ if that’s the case.

Wasn’t the original plan to have ships debut in 22’ 23’ and 25’? With the wish getting pushed back to the summer from January 22’.

I believe Treasure only got delayed about a year.

If the wish was originally January 22’, treasure was summer 23’, and third was January 25’, a year delay puts us at summer 24’.

Wish was only delayed 6 months, and I believe treasure a year. Third I believe is 6-months to a year, not over that.

Wish’s hull blocks were getting sailed in around November 20’, and Treasure had hers start in November 22’, so if they’re aiming for a summer 24’ delivery, they can probably make it.

I just hope Treasure has substantial layout modifications.

Additionally, according to Disney’s own website, Lighthouse Pointe is slated to open summer 2024 (instead of 2023), which will likely coincide with the maiden of the treasure.

Construction progress is visible from old Google Earth Imagery, and they made a press release announcing the start of construction in February 2022, so all signs point to them being on track to meeting their desired summer 2024 timeframe.

I believe the Wish was always scheduled for a late 2021 delivery with a maiden voyage in January 2022; however, things may have changed between 2016 and 2019. I focusing on the pre-Covid to current timeline changes.

"The Disney Wish is scheduled for delivery in late 2021 and will set sail in January 2022"
