Aww, give a girl a break... I love her. Yes, the coke probably didn't help. Lest we forget, she's pushing 60 and Mark is 73.

Harrison Ford is... WHOA... He's 72?!? Ok, I know he's about 40-some years my senior, but I must say... THAT man has aged WELL. ;)

I really hope they keep Leia's character snarky/quick witted/doesn't take shiznit from anyone.
The problem is, shes apparently still in love wit da Co co.

I have to keep my hopes up for this project! For no other reason then I want to believe it is going to be awesome and be an incredible experience. I would be thrilled if we get two rides a spinner and a themed restaurant.

My expectations are a spinner and one ride and restaurant.

Naaa, they are just going to combine technologies. A Wild Mouse coaster with a spinning X-Wing enclosed in a projected globe with 3D video where you shoot at tie-fighters.

Yes! Let's move on - everyone shake off those snarky, negative vibes - maybe watch a few of these to get in a full fun mood again...

These guys are my favorite and a riot. They produce local cable commercials and these are the real commercials - lets get some laughs in first, and then it's back to SW with cooler and hopefully happier heads... :)

I prefer the 'Appliance Direct' guy don't be a Wakkie Nu Nu and pay too much

Always make some time to watch this guy at WDW

I love him too!

We were renting a house in Clermont and we were up late when his commercials were running back to back. We were dying. :hilarious: The joke that amongst the men that week was, "Will you wackie my nu nu?"

Yep 30-year old men trapped in 16 year old bodies.

... And he had an injury at beginning of shooting too. Hope he is ok and things continue on schedule.

Are they still shooting at this point? I remember they were filming over last summer but got somewhat delayed due to Ford's injury, but I would think they'd have wrapped up filming by now and would be in post-production.

(Of course, best of luck to a speedy recovery for Ford, I'm just skeptical this injury impacts the film schedule.)

Episode 7 shooting is finished and Episode 8 won't start until later

Principle photography is done but there still may be pick-ups are re-shoots.

It netted 1 attraction, lots of concrete, poor forced perspective, and a restaurant. Getting more people in an already overcrowded park with little more to do is not a win. The urbanizing of the HUB area is adding more capacity to the park's too. Is the concrete, fake grass, lack of shade, and destruction of the castle reveal from Main Street worth packing more people into an overcrowded park with no new attractions to occupy people a win for guests? I guess after standing/sitting in the new hub area to hold your place for fireworks for a few hours is the win?

Back to topic:

Star Wars area only needs to be well themed to be considered sucessful? So if we keep the same attraction count at DHS that was there last year ( prior to the attractions lost for what may be coming) that is successful?

I am very skeptical of the "new" things being added in all areas of DHS. Themeing off the shelf carnival rides like the garbage at DCA 1.0 and the Chester/Hester garbage at AK is not a win for park guests. Original attractions are needed. DHS or whatever it's rebranded in the future will still be a half day park if a concerted effort is not made to bulk up the attractions count and deliver the "Old Disney Quality" in all of it's new offerings.

Let's keep a wait and see attitude when it comes to DHS and the Star Wars development that is not even out of planning yet.

There was no E-ticket anchor in New Fantasyland but that hardly makes it a bad addition. It looks beautiful, and aside from the Beast Castle being too small has no sight line issues.

Perhaps it has already been said, but a strong opening announcement to launch the Star Wars themed area is key. It needs to include some specifics to soften the skepticism that has built since so many were disappointed with NFL. The Avatar area announcement still seems sloppy and bereft of substance. With that said, the drips and drabs of just the visuals and effects for Pandora are very exciting.

They should keep this close until the "Blue Sky" is all done, unlike what they did with Avatar. Perhaps that's why we are waiting until August to hear something. It may actually benefit them to wait on the official announcement until those construction walls are up. It may also benefit them to give an actual opening date. Giving the public a list of what they can expect to see and actually delivering those experiences may truly drive DHS's attendance numbers beyond the half day park monicker.

In any event, the final product needs to be Hogsmeade/Diagon Alley and not Chester/Hester or NFL...

P.S. The view of the Chinese Theater was one I had been missing. It was nice to see that area getting back to pre-hat sight lines.
I expect an announcement at D23 Expo for both Disneyland and DHS. I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement is an aerial piece of concept art for both areas with iconic items that fans will salivate over. While I'd love them to get into details of the rides, I'm guessing they won't for Star Wars.

Yeah I see them doing doing a Ariel shot then they will probably include a description on what type of experiences you will have but nothing specific like ride types, names, etc.

Yeah, I'm not expecting more than concept art for Star Wars over the summer. But I do hope that we get some more specific details on Pandora and specific news about Pixar at DHS (which hopefully will already be in the process of being built by then). Plus, perhaps Marvel at DCA.

They really need to have some good P&R stuff at D23 this year.

Random idea just popped into my head...

Remember PUSH? They could bring that type of character tech/interaction back.

I would love to see a couple of droids wandering about - same tech, with the operator nearby dressed to fit in with the tourists.

Feel free to care to discuss, or... rip it to shreds. ;)

That would be awesome. R2-D2 and, even better, Chopper from Star Wars Rebels, because he's the BOMB.
