..I have had a trip planned to Disney for a long time. I had to have surgery on my foot in July and unfortunately something went wrong. A 4 week recovery is now a 14 week recovery which happens to be 4 weeks longer than my Disney trip. I now have to use an EVC to get around.. I am afraid of how people will react. I have a big boot that is an air cast but fear that people will not understand..I know people abuse the use of them which I think is sad..but some people are in them for a real reason.

Do what I did during my one-time ECV use ( I couldn't stand for long periods of time and refused to let my friends push me in a wheelchair):

- Name your ECV. My name tag thing proudly said "Millenium Falcon" and then my last name in small print.
- Try not to run into things. Seriously. You will never hear the end of it from your friends/family.
- Fill the basket with bags, etc and use the area as a poker table.

In other words, who cares what they say? If you really need it, then use it and make the most of your trip!

It was the most financially successful film of all time. Anyone that claims it doesn't have the popularity for a theme park land is living in an alternate dimension.
Adjusted for inflation...not even close.

That's typical JT 'logic' ... a building can only be ignored for so long ... so let's assume that since 2004 (since I wasn't here back then) JT has been claiming eventually WDW will get some loving, well, gee that's really going out on a limb. You were bound to be 'right' whether it was in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2018 or 2022. You really couldn't be wrong with that one, bud.

Unfortunately, you've clung to this like it's been some sorta master plan when there hasn't been any. Everything from the modest Fantasyland project to Avatarland to the makeover of the Studios have been kneejerk desperation moves. All of them.
Seems like he was right, and you were wrong. Is that why you are lashing out at him?

You'll be fine. I was in an ECV myself thanks to tendonitis with a lovely big black honking walking boot. Trust me, it'll be a lot better than attempting to walk any distance in one of those!!

When I looked at the Fantasmic schedule for later this year I noticed that there is no more Beauty and the Beast listed in November and December (but still Fantasmic). Is this where they could be putting the new seats?

There is already construction going on behind BatB, but that doesn't seem like a good spot for more seats. I wonder if they are just going to install seats in the existing standing room area.

1000 seats, eh? I saw it the other day and remembered why I hate the DHS version so much. If they had come out and said they were going to do a whole new version, I would be interested. The thing is a mangled mess. Whoever re-edited that show for DHS should never work in the industry again. I had only heard about the "dragon fix" It had been so long this was the first time I saw it. I'll go watch a much better version of it next week and avoid it for another three to four years at DHS until I get hooked into watching it again. My true felling about that show would break a lot of rules on the site.

I'm glad you love the show.
