Disney Springs construction begins

I don't think LegoLand is hurting sales at all. The theme park portion is operated by Marlin Entertainment, so there's no stopping Disney from expanding their retail side of it.

Agreed, the store is as popular as ever. I was more thinking of expanding the Lego presence by adding more of an attraction. Something like a small scale version of the miniature land in the Legoland parks. The Star Wars stuff is especially cool. Since the store and parks are owned by different companies maybe they still could. The statues and models they currently have still draw a lot of attention.

I really wish that Lego would license some Disney ride sets...I haven't played with them since I was a kid...but if they were selling a Splash Mountain, or Haunted Mansion set...I would have purchased it just to have around...but when I stopped in...alas they had nothing.

I found some online a few years ago. They aren't real Legos, but the kids don't know the difference;)

One was proposed for Lego's Cuusoo line, but unfortunately it's not getting a lot of votes...

We just bought into DVC at SSR so count me as a big fan of this expansion / remodel overall :)

I think it will breath new life into DTD, which I am already a fan of.

Save Pleasure Island is reporting that Mannequins and 8trax are going to be combined into one building which will be a restaurant. A copy of the construction permit is supposed to be published tomorrow morning.
