Maybe it's just me and the fact that I've gone to this place ever since the last remnants of the good old Village, but yea I find the current incarnation to be extremely boring and minus the fun factor that California has. I can't quite explain it, but there's definitely a fun factor in California that is not present here.

If you came up going to Disney World then it may be because it's newer to you so it's fresher and more fun. The monorail also goes thru DTD in Anaheim and it's more glitzy so that doesn't hurt either. Only thing is I find Anaheim's version very small. We usually hit DTD on days we don't go to the parks. At WDW, we park at WestSide, walk to market place and back. We take our time taking in the live music (around every corner pretty much), browsing the shops, and eating goodies. DTD in Anaheim just doesn't have the size to be able to fill an entire evening for us. It works better as an add on to the parks. Presently it's also prettier and more contemporary than what we have at WDW. But if they do the concept art justice, Disney Springs will be better looking as well.

Also, of the four (the two DTD's and two CityWalk's), CityWalk in LA is the most fun, to me, at present. I really love the look out in LA.

Are you talking the Trafford Centre Martin? At least they have an Ann Summers shop there :D
Do they? *cough*

I'm very close to the centre, it's my local Mall. And the theming and style is so close to what we consider themed malls to be it used to scream American theme park mall way before Disney Springs. Hence if I can do it here why do it there?

I'm close to it too Martin, in Baguley here. I've always liked it and remember many years ago thinking it was very well themed, especially the 'Orient'. Was at Ann Summers recently buying Mrs Mergatroid some 'thermals' for Christmas ;)

The trafford centre looks awesome. The wing that looks like a cruise ship lido deck especially. It looks more Vegas to me then Disney Springs though.

Off-topic, but it's better than it was 5 years ago. Lots of new machines, and a hell of a lot cleaner. Higher rate of machines working, too, although still too many broken for what they charge. Still not up to the standards of Dave & Busters--and if you're over 21 no comparison to Player 1 Video Game bar--but if you're buying a water park AP anyway there are worse ways to kill an afternoon.

Really starting to get underway.

Saw some more close-ups of the waterfront and you can begin to see how the waterfront will be featured in what is now called the marketplace . Will work perfectly.
