Disney Springs construction begins

Nothing has been announced about what exactly The Observatory is going to be. I believe it is under the same ownership as the current PH. There's been rumors that PH itself is going I-Drive Live or I-Shops or something over there along International Drive.

Two permits filed today:
1660 E. Buena Vista Dr - Disney Springs/Landings - Construction of E02 Structure Foundatins
1798 E. Buena Vista Dr - Disney Springs/Landings - Construction of E09 Structure Foundations
One address is near Fultons and the other near Cap' n' Jacks, so this might be the foundations for the new bridge.

i would assume they have some soft commitments, or at least have had promising conversations, but how far out is it before the first tenant moves in and opens up shop?
curious to see what gets added. we went a couple times during this stay, and obviously because of construction, parking was worse than usual. the kids love the lego shop, and we do most of our major souvenir shopping at world of disney because its got just about anything you can find in the parks, and then some.
as long as they keep the earl of sandwich.....

... but ... the "homemade manicotti" is actually really good. Literally the only reason I ever go there. Otherwise too loud, decor dated, service spotty at best ...but man that manicotti is something.

I'm inclined to agree with what you literally said above, again based on the lesson of Flamingo Crossings. And Pleasure Island post-closure.
Anyone not think the suits at Disney are capable of making the same mistake three times?
