Was at WDW this past weekend (June 22). While walking from Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios, I caught the new Skyliner. Apparently, they were testing the system. I had a video, but it’s too big to upload! Man, those cabins move fast. There seemed to be a half dozen queued in the unloading area, which moved to a loading queue of another half dozen.

They have been testing for a few months now. There are plenty of videos on YouTube for anyone who wants to see them.

No stopping except for the handicap/ECV/etc pull off at all stations except Riviera. Really, the system should never stop except for breakdown/emergencies/weather.

I've seen the videos. They move to fast to be safe. I see people getting killed en'mass in these deathtraps.

They slow down enough to get on and off. My worry is the multitude of people that might freak out about how these work.

My worry is the mindblowing speed of these. I dont think it will take long before they start flying off the cables... killing everyone onboard in a fiery death.

Read some of the main Skyliner thread on the rumors board and you will see the epic level of freak out.

You realize they will move slower with the weight of people in them.

Its the new park capacity leveling system. Studios starts to hit capacity and they drop a couple dozen.
