Disney Romances??

I'd guess trying the pool and pool bar area at your resort might be a good idea. I'd imagine people are a little less guarded (alcohol-induced or not) in that kind of environment than in a theme park. My last visit there wasn't a single night I walked by the pool bar at Caribbean Beach that didn't have a large group of people talking and laughing together, and they definitely appeared to be smaller groups/individuals that had merged into one big party.

The Boardwalk might also be a good idea. Atlantic Dance is still there, but it's pretty dead most nights from what I hear. LeeSeeBabe mentioned the ESPN club, and I'd add that on a busy night Jellyrolls would definitely be worth a try, as allegedly the atmosphere is very "up" and the sing-along type music gets people talking/laughing together.

Single rider lines. Hopefully you'll be placed with someone nice :animwink:

This is also worth a mention, but in this case you might need to take the first step and start chatting with people in the queue. A lot of people in the single-rider line may be a little shy and feel strange standing in a queue alone. It may take a while but you're bound to hit it off with someone. :)

Now that you mention it, after we met at ESPN club, we strolled on down to Jellyrolls! Both of those places have very relaxed atmospheres. I personally would be more hesitant to go to Jellyrolls by myself because it's really loud... definitely more like a bar scene.

I met the current Mrs Sak over a food counter, and after 25 years I think its time I put her back.

I'm a single guy. It would be nice to be blindsided by romance with a Disney Princess while visiting.

Usually I'm with my folks while visiting so it's never been on my radar. Perhaps my radar needs repair?

Ooh! You should hook up then if you are both single.:goodnevilIt's fun to start a romance at Disney. I did! My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary in about 2 weeks. We've been married for 2 years!:sohappy: We didn't meet at Disney but had our second date there. We went to Beaches and Cream on Valentine's Day:slurp:.

Before I was married, I went to MNSSHP solo one night while I was there on business and I met a bunch of single girls. It seemed like that was the one night I can ever remember groups of single people, all decked out. It was fun. I met a couple of girls, one dressed as Pocahontas! ;), and we ended up going to PI together later that night.

A whole lot of fun ... you might want to try MNSSHP!

Thanks for all the great replies. As freedomwrangler mentioned I am also with my parents during vacations so meeting someone becomes harder.

Romance at Disney? There’s nothing better than being single in the happiest place on earth! Ever since my unfortunate break up I had two years ago I've come to the conclusion that all someone really needs in life is a Welsh Dragon and a trip on the Haunted Mansion. Why would I care about finding that "special someone" when I'm already enjoying myself at Disney:sohappy:

Yeah, but it would be nice to go to WDW with a guy instead of my girl friends! Not that I don't enjoy their company, but I am sure I would enjoy some guy's company, too!

Meh in my opinion relationships are overrated...after dealing with one 2 years ago I realized it just isn't worth it all the stress. That’s why I enjoy my time at Disney alone or with my guy friends, the only stress you get from that is the fact that they ran out of Space Mountain fastpasses:p

Who says you need to be in a relationship to go to Disney with someone...

And now I've gone too far.:lookaroun
