Who says you need to be in a relationship to go to Disney with someone...

And now I've gone too far.:lookaroun

lol...yeah last time I did that I was labeled as a huge immature nerd...but eh I have come to the conclusion that girls at least my age anyway aren't looking for a guy who’s obsessed with Disney. So I have accepted this fact and enjoy living my life as a Disney fan with a great life:)

Sounds like you need to listen to True Happiness This Way Lies by The The off of their Dusk album

A breif snippet for you

Could God really be so cruel?
To give us feelings that could never be fulfilled. Baby!
I've got my sights set on you. I've got my sight set on you
And someday, someday, someday, you'll come my way.
But when you put your arms around me
I'll be looking over your shoulder for something new
'cause I ain't ever found peace upon the breast of a girl
I ain't ever found peace with the religion of the world
I ain't ever found peace at the bottom of a glass
sometimes it seems the more I ask for the less I receive
sometimes it seems the more I ask for the less I receive
The only true freedom is freedom from the heart's desires
& the only true happiness....this way lies.

I love that there are a few singles guys and girls out there taking their kids to Disney!!! It has been just me and my son going to Disney for the last several years (since me and his father split)... I will say at first it was kind of heart breaking seeing family together enjoying the magic, but then I realized, hey my life is complete as long as I am sharing the joy of Disney with my son! Can't wait for our Sept. trip to come! :sohappy:

Good for you.

My ex-wife and I used to take our kids to WDW together. WDW was one of the things we both enjoyed.

I have been back with my kids on a more that yearly basis since we divorced. It was the same feeling for me. The first time it was a little odd, feeling that somone wsa missing, but as you said I enjoy WDW, and nothing is better than my kids. Put the two together, and magic :)

I do go to WDW at times by myself (or with friends without my kids) but I really look foward to the trips with my kids. We have an end of August WDW/Disney Cruise combo comming up - can't wait :)

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and you and your kid together is just as much a family as any other variety.

I’ve heard that the Church Street area is dead anymore, or were you being sarcastic? Where do people go for nightlife in Orlando these days? (Besides City Walk.)

When I was living in Orlando last year, Church Street was definitely crazy! Well, actual Church Street was one of the side streets, but downtown Orlando gets pretty crazy on the weekends!

Well, seeing as how I myself am gay, all I have to do is go to any Disney park, restaurant, ride, store, show.........Heck, if you are gay, all you have to do is be on Disney property, and you can meet someone. LOL:ROFLOL:

When I was there in April, I met a really sweet guy who was a skipper at JC, and we had a very brief, but very sweet romance for the time I was there on vacation. It was so romantic!

And we still keep in contact. :)

Well whatever you do don't just run up and grope someone. One guy had to learn that lesson the hard way. :ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

You've seen the "Happy Birthday" and "I'm Celebrating" badges. Now we have the brand new "I'm Single" badges. It could really work....

I suggest try placing a Craigslist ad while you're there and/or a week or so beforehand. Like others here, I've found it difficult to find places at WDW that are conducive to "hooking up", even very casually, however I've met a number of nice guys through ads. Placing an ad for either locals or fellow visitors allows you to specify the type of person you'd like to meet and pre-screen them a bit. Your chances of running into a psycho are just the same as meeting one poolside or in DTD or anywhere so don't let that scare you, just be smart about it. It helps if you have a laptop or internet capable phone with you, of course, unless you arrange everything in advance.

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
