Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

God bless the "Ignore" button.
OMG... some of you are trying so hard to make up what I say just to argue it's sad...really

I never insisted that Universal made a big mistake making Diagon Alley look like it did in the movie. I also could care less about proposing any sort of alternative...they are big boys they can do what they want. All I'm saying (yet again) is that the area appears to be somewhat narrow and with a mass of people could feel very enclosed with the tall buildings on each side and those that don't like or get stressed in those environments, it may not be good for them... that is all.

the same could be said for Osborne lights during those mass crowds... but with a smaller street and no real sidewalks to walk on
Okay, let's put this all to rest...
DIAGON ALLEY IS RELATIVELY NARROW AND HAS TALL BUILDINGS ON EITHER SIDE. THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM SEVERE CLAUSTROPHOBIA MAY FEEL UNEASY IN SUCH AN ENVIRONMENT AND SHOULD INSTEAD ENJOY CARKITT MARKET OR LONDON.
...
Everyone happy?

Then what is the point of you repeated making the statement? You're observation is self evident and there is no need to constantly point it out.

the same could be said about you replying to me about it then right? just saying ;)

and I wouldn't have to point it out more than one if people wouldn't attack me over my simple OPINION over it

it's not pathetic... it's the truth. I'm not bashing what they have created... all I am saying is that street is going to be massively crowded with no where to walk and you are surrounded entirely by tall, dull alley-way type buildings on either side.
I hope no one is claustrophobic

As I read his post, he was really just saying that the alley looked kind of narrow and that it might be a problem with the massive crowds that it will see. I don't know why it would be necessary for him to give an alternative to that issue given 1) that alternative would be to make a wider street and 2) not only is he not in a position to implement this plan but neither is anyone else.

But why call it dull when they modeled it almost exactly as it looked in the movies? Unless you consider the movie scenes dull.

*face palm* - I could easily refer to ANY alleyway as dull ... it wasn't a slam on uni... everyone please take a deep breath... it's OK :)

Must be losing money today as people book trips to Universal now and not WDW.. LOL

ya know, I gave him the benefit of the doubt but now, ya, it is time for him to take his silliness elsewhere... Until then, ignore has become my friend yet again...

It is not an opinion. It is a readily visible fact that the area is tight and it has been known that it will be tight since 2010. The only reason to constantly bring it up is as a passive aggressive criticism that can just be denied. You claim to not have such a motivation but cannot speak for your compulsion. It is not opinions that go against the grain that get attacked, but the manner in which they are presented.

But the problem is that many missed your original point because there were, conceivably, two points there: the idea that the walkway looked narrow and the idea that it looked dull. It's not really fair to be frustrated with others for misinterpreting what you said when the issue is arguably in the way your post was laid out.

Far be it from me to tell you or anyone else what to say in a post or how to say it, but if you didn't want people to think you were calling the area dull, perhaps it would have made more sense to edit that part or not use it at all. No one is saying you shouldn't post here, but you can't blame them for responding to what you say either.

don't kid yourself, he was calling the area dull. He is only backtracking cause he looked foolish. I'm surprised he hasn't resorted to his most prized stupid comeback... EVERYONE MUST BE DRUNK ON BUTTERBEER.

I believe that by "dull" meant "muted color palette". Not "dull" as in boring or uninteresting.
Also he is correct that the alley appears narrow. It does. And that is by design. It really isn't all that narrow, but the combination of the 5 story tall facades and visual trickery they achieve the canyon like effect they were looking for.
