Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

Actually, The Casual Vacancy and The Silkworm have been well-received commercially and critically. But, why quibble over the small details?

Casual Vacancy got lukewarm reviews at best, and few really care about her after Potter work. I doubt Universal will be opening a Casual Vacancy land any time soon.

She was the author (using an alias) of the The Cuckoo's Calling. It received outright raves.

I know you just want to dump all over Universal's work with Potter (to the point of laughably putting SDMT above Diagon Alley), but at least know about the arguments you're bringing up.

She also said Dumbledore is gay. Rowling likes attention, and her post Potter work is mostly ignored, so she likes to make grand statements every so often.
If she craved attention like you claim, she wouldn't have used an alias name to write and release a highly-praised book.

You need to stop your slanderous claims. Especially the ones that don't have backing to them.

I always thought it was pretty clear he was not exactly straight. Readers even glimpsed into Snape's love life but never Dumbledore. But maybe that's just me... :angelic:

I'm guessing Yoda, Obi-wan, Luke, Chewie, and Emperor Palpatine were gay as well. Maybe Ray, Egon, and Winston were gay too?

If anyone from Star Wars is gay, I think we ALL know who it would be.

You DO know those are different characters, from a different story, shown in a different medium, from different minds, targeted to somewhat different demographics? Need I go on?

Joseph Campbell would disagree.
Different as in presented differently, fleshed out with different characteristics emphasized. So, for example, Lucas will go to show Yoda as being "human" by having compassion for Anikan's (sp?) feelings despite his clear-cut moral code, whereas JK Rowling often showed the human side by one's ability to love, hence uncovering that Snape had a thing for Lily. She did it for most, if not all, her main characters and that is why when she excluded Dumbledore from having a love interest a red light should be going off in your head - at least it did in mine. Whereas when Lucas excludes this type of reveal, it's kind of obvious it's because he's less at comfort with romancing as a means of humanizing his characters. But I'm sure you understood my point well and was just being smart for the heck of it.
