The VOTLM soundstage was repainted end of September 2019.I can’t remember when they decided to paint all the soundstages blue but I wish they’d go back to the tans and greens like the animation building.
The VOTLM soundstage was repainted end of September 2019.
The archway with the new font was revealed the first week of November 2019, so the repaint was probably done in anticipation of the new archway since it too received a new paint job.

I think the old one looks more vintage Hollywood, and the new one is more modern-day Hollywood. I personally prefer the new one as the futurist style is one I prefer. To that end, I don't wish they'd repaint the soundstages, I wish they'd remove them entirely. They're such a dated design, and honestly they feel so cheap. Just build a true facade.
Give me Mondo here too and I shall be front row for opening daythose puppet frogs are leap years better than the barely noticeable stagnant ones in tianas muck pond. This show is looking to be good.
That flamingo looks a lot better than the animatronics in Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid too.those puppet frogs are leap years better than the barely noticeable stagnant ones in tianas muck pond. This show is looking to be good.
Mondo?Give me Mondo here too and I shall be front row for opening day

The only new character (as in, ones that didn't appear in The Princess and the Frog) in Tiana's Bayou Adventure who actually kind of qualifies as an animatronic.Mondo?
Seeing them side by side like that... the old one looked so much better. The font/logo was better and the color scheme was better.
Thanks Steve! This could be quite a Memorial Weekend!!!!MuppetVision 3D Closing Date May Hint at Villains and Little Mermaid Show Opening Timeframe

I am not expecting an upgrade, but I am glad its back in some form as I always enjoyed the original too.By a suddenly turn of unexpected events, it looks like I may be on Property the week after these hypothetically may open.
I am interested in seeing how the new ‘Little Mermaid’ stage adaption is executed.
Always enjoyed the original, and hoping this is a nice quality upgrade.

I mean clearly they are upgrading something that’s why it’s taking so long to reopen.I am not expecting an upgrade, but I am glad its back in some form as I always enjoyed the original too.
I am not so sure -I mean clearly they are upgrading something that’s why it’s taking so long to reopen.
They’re adding additional scenes including a new musical number, and a final battle which the original show did not have.I am not so sure -
As we already know the Nemo show in AK was closed and reopened with a shorter/lesser show that if I remember correctly they blamed on COVID.
Could be fake news, but allegedly the original Mermaid show closed due to mold and at a minimum they will eliminate the elements that caused the mold, If I remember correctly there was a scene that sea spray, fog and lasers, its possible that was eliminated, just a guess.
This is all speculation on my part, but I suspect we will see a "necessary downgrade" here.
I hope I am wrong and this new Mermaid show is better than what we had.
