Great to see this!!!! :sohappy:
I'm thinking Disney really should've stayed neutral on this one. Nobody wants to see young people commiting suicide but that rainbow logo at the end looks like full on support of something A LOT of families are uncomfortable with.

I'm curious what this "thing" is that families are uncomfortable with is. Do tell.
Those who have an interest will applaud Disney's stand. Those who don't won't have much of an opinion either way.....
Interesting. So you don't think any one persons political/personal view is strong enough to keep them from going back to WDW for example? Like I said, this one is "iffy" just cause at the end of the day, no matter what your opinion is, I don't think anyone wants young people to hurt themselves.

This is precisely why i commend Disney for making this video. I'm sure they knew not everyone would agree with it, but decided sometimes whats right isnt always whats popular.
I also think the video is clearly in support of LGBT youth, but doesnt overtly appear to "focus" on it, so that even kids who arent gay, but are bullied nonetheless, can still feel like the video is talking to them. But, I in no way think Disney was hiding the LGBT aspect of it.
Anyway, Kudos to Disney! Hopefully kids will really see this outpouring of support from people everywhere and get strong from it!
It was clear only if you go back and google "trevor project" and notice the rainbow logo at the end. Otherwise it's pretty vague. IMO, the vague language was used in order not to alienate the other $$$, I mean, side of the spectrum.

If you watch the video until the end you will see-
The rainbow logo which spells PRIDE. An organization that I mentioned earlier created by the Disney Company in 1998. Nothing vague there.
You will also see all of the info for Trevor Project. Web address, phone etc. Nothing vague there either.
This is full on support for the LGBT community.
I forwarded thru some parts since it was a tad repetetive.
And if people remained "neutral" 50 years ago, we'd still have segregation in this country too. People need to stand up and say something because the fight for equality of LGBT peoples is the same basic, human civil rights issue that women have faced, African Americans have faced and other minority groups have faced. It's only by NOT staying silent do we get as a country get over these petty bigotries and reasons to hate.I'm thinking Disney really should've stayed neutral on this one. To those families that are uncomfortable, tell them this- a huge percent of the employees at Disney are gay. From cast members to executives. These people who are gay are creating the magic that you so love and pay for with your dollars.
Gays are also in the parks in large numbers every day of the year as guests also. So there is nothing to be uncomfortable about. Nothing has changed.

Good for Disney for adding their voice to this project.
