Oh well, who really cares about Disney anyway?
I try to avoid Main St. shops at all costs.Um... have you never set foot inside the Emporium?
What resources exactly?Or it means Disney Store has a chance to turn itself around by working more closely with the resources that Parks has.
Or vice versa, I suppose. Since it's the same division now, is it easier for creative forces to argue that funds from toy sales can be put into the parks?Or it means Disney Store has a better opportunity to turn itself around by working more closely with the resources that Parks has.

They still need an exec whose job is just to oversee parks. Parks and DCP is too much for one person, even SuperBob, to handle effectively.
If they were smart, they'd hire someone with competency, like Ouimet. They won't though
I guess we'll have to wait and see.Off the top of my head....marketing resources, access to leaders currently with Parks. Being able to work collaboratively with others across the different departments. Maybe even money...I am not a Disney exec so I don't know what they exactly have in mind. But consumer products has been struggling (down 2% last quarter?) so it only makes sense that at least part of this is an effort to turn that group around.
This is why more heavy lifting is going to have to be done by each of the park heads. They may even put in an Exec VP to head each sub-division that reports to Chapek.
I wouldn't even be surprised if this means that more power is put into the hands of each of the park heads to decide future projects.
This was the first thing I thought of as well. It's a shame.
I just got likes by both @TROR and @GiveMeTheMusic, that just made my day! Its all down hill from here.
Would you take a brief survey on why you feel that way? You'll receive a $5.00 Disney Store coupon for participating.Nothing makes my blood run colder than the thought of marketing execs heading the parks.
