how does the current availability look? anyone with hotel and tickets unable to get reservations? or were they virtually guaranteed in the end for that group?
Availability for Resort Guests still looking good. Only parks listed unavailable for the entire reservation period is AK on July 14th, and July 15-17 for DHS.

DFB said people with resort only reservations can purchase tickets tomorrow. For 2020? what time and will they be subject to an up to 24 hours wait before they can reserve park slots? We were able to FINALLY modify and add two tickets but they said we can't reserve park selections until it populates in MDE. We modified at around 4:30 ET and it's still not showing. Will that stipulation also apply to people purchasing tickets tomorrow?

This makes it read that it's only for 2021.

If you have a room-only reservation at a Disney Resort or other select hotel for a stay in 2021, please call the Disney Reservation Center or call your travel professional beginning on June 24 to upgrade to a vacation package with tickets—and then make your theme park reservations.

 I’m so happy!! Never did get through to a website help specialist on the phone, but they’ve clearly fixed something on their end because I just tried the park pass system yet again and it FINALLY let me add myself!! What a relief. If you’re still struggling with it, maybe try and give it another go now!

27 hours in 3 days on the phone still cannot get my annual pass issues resolved. We have 6 Platinum Plus passes I spoke to the VIP Pass number on 5/28 spoke to a wonderful cast member spent approx. 35-40 minutes with her getting out annual passes extended she completed the required paperwork and submitted it to be extended. I have 5 stays (2 in July, 1 in September, 1 in October, and 1 in November) we are afraid because we have not gotten our extensions by the time they get around to our other 4 passes the days we are staying on property will be all taken.

Fast forward to then announcing the new reservation system coming and reservations can be made starting on 6/22 for resort guests sweet we are resort guests and AP’s. At the same time our passes disappeared from MDE I called the VIP AP number again on 6/19 they said check back tomorrow and see if they re-appear, I call on 6/20 two of our 6 passes appeared with extensions the CM suggested I call back on Sunday if they did not appear. I waited until 5pm on Sunday as the remaining 4 passes have not appeared, I called at 5pm disconnected twice and transferred twice at 11:01pm the recording changed to we are currently closed please call back during normal business hours.

I call back Monday 7am spoke to a great CM he said I needed to get with the monthly payment AP number so I call at 8am on hold for 5 hours, finally got a CM she put me on hold to review our account and I was disconnected. I call back on hold and finally got a CM at 10:33pm (my call started at 1:44pm) the CM said we do not see a request to extend your passes (yet as of Friday each CM can see the request and it was done on 5/28, and 2 of the 6 were extended on Saturday) so they put in the request again at this point we are beyond frustrated as we were told the request could take 1 day to 60 days if not longer to be put in. I said are you serious up to 60+ days so you mean to tell me we will lose any chance of booking for our resort stays plus we will miss 2 months’ worth of extensions. At that point I asked for a supervisor I was told they would transfer me to the supervisors VM they did or try and it disconnected.

Tuesday I call busy all day long over 220 call attempts I finally get put into the holding pattern at 5:35pm I spoke to a wonderful CM (same CM I spoke to Monday morning) he did everything in his power to help me I had his supervisor try and get in touch with the monthly payment plan team to no avail he said call them right at 8am and request a supervisor and see if they will expedite our request.

Bottom line the front line CM’s are great they are just doing what they can, this is such a fiascio Disney’s management has really botched this process. They should have made sure every single AP pass was extended before they even went live on the registration system, at the very least cross reference who is staying on site in July-December and cross reference those guests with the AP holder list and make sure those guests are extended, then work on the APH list to PH’s who are not staying on site.

What's the average number of call attempts to connect with Disney? I mean just to get into their system. I've been trying to call this morning to add tickets to my 2021 package and it keeps telling me lines are busy. Once you get in what is the average hold time? Disney could've implemented a better phased system for people to call.

I got Space Mountained, but based on options on the home screen resort bookings for all of 2021 are open (which would obviously include October 1st)

Same here, since 8:25 AM (East Coast). I'm looking for some February dates with the hopes later this year they will release some type of discount.

Just got through and booked for February 2021. Whats odd is that you have the park hopper option, but they still ask you to make park reservations, wonder if they that is because they aren't sure what Jan/Feb 2021 will look like in terms of COVID and restrictions.

So, a while back I was told a one-off comment about each group (Resort Guests, APs, and Regular Tickets) pulling from different pools of park pass reservations. At first I dismissed it, but after seeing the user side of the system (which could show a different availability calendar depending on which form of admission was selected) and seeing @MouseBrayden (who I know isn’t everyone’s favorite, but he does have some good sources) bring it up makes me think it might be a possibility.
I think there may also be more than 3 "buckets" of reservations. There might be other ticket types getting spots set aside, perhaps for internal use or some of the biggest customers (Club? Golden Oak?). Not sure what those other buckets would be but they definitely exist.

This makes it read that it's only for 2021.

What happens if you have a resort booked after 9/26/21? I have an AP which would expire (and be renewed) before then. If I call to get a ticket package to go with my resort booking today (I'm assuming this could be upgraded to AP later?), will I be able to reserve a Park Pass for my stay if it's after 9/26/21 or should I just wait?

Sold us a 14 day UK guest park ticket on Monday for March 2021 with the guarantee that if we can't get reservations on Sunday, that we can have a refund. Fingers crossed

Yikes.

"A Disney spokesperson told CBS MoneyWatch the reservation system had no such glitch. Disney had made the system available Monday first for people with a previous Disney World resort reservation, the spokesperson said. The system will be available for annual pass holders this Friday and for the general public on Sunday.

People who couldn’t reserve Monday probably thought it was a glitch, but in reality, they were likely trying to book before it was their turn, the spokesperson said. "
